it’s temporary, and afterall, he hasn’t been given much to say yet. I mean look at John and Marlena – kind of duds in their first week too.
One thing I noticed is Patrick’s voice sounded a bit weak and he didn’t appear robustly healthy. Maybe he wasn’t feeling well?something to do with the “other” reason John mentioned for their return to Salem. I have a feeling it is something negative, and perhaps this accounts for their less than exhuberant attitude.
I sure hope this won’t turn out to be one of those “you can’t go home again” outcomes. Like Wayne Northrup’s return engagements, although his stories were awful.
Viewers want J&M for their spunkiness and gung ho attitudes. Let’s hope both the actors and the writers are up to it.Well, John I can understand with his recovery. But Marlena lacked her usual spark and kind of faded a bit into the background for me.
I’m sure though, that will be temporary.
Also, I felt Days laid on the schmaltz a bit thick. Do we need to see all these couples constantly kissing in public and hanging onto each other?
Otherwise, enjoyed the festivities and looking forward to getting down to biz.is definitely the hub of that wheel. But the Colts did show more than I expected this week, so maybe something to build on.
When Maggie was trying to console Mel about Dario’s leaving by pointing out this fantastic dress, I couldn’t believe how ugly and dowdy it was! there’s nothing attractive or youthful about it.
And yeah, I thought for the first time that Sami was actually looking a shade older with that unflattering hairdo.that part about her kids watching tv when Days was on? How dumb is that! I agree, it seemed kind of far-fetched, that after all Galen’s makeout scenes w/Sami, his wife is now reacting so strongly. Which makes me wonder if this wasn’t either a setup or a dig at Galen for something actually not related.
and my early comments: on the good side I see where Nadia B gets her looks – her late composer dad was stunning – and that green gown she had on made her look drop dead exquisite. Galen (Rafe) looks to be the same solid guy he appears w/a nice looking family (even understandably w/ a wife who can’t stand his love scenes w/Sami).
On the negative side I foud Kelly Monaco a crude, not so likeable girl, but maybe can be given somewhat of a pass as she just broke up w/a longtime boyfriend. And this feud between Kirsten Storm and Farrah Fath makes them both appear childish.
Don’t know if I’ll tune in for more.
