Participantfor me because AI isn’t just about a stellar voice. If that were the case at least half the “artists” around these days wouldn’t get a foot in the door of a recording studio. He started out as a Dave Matthews clone and improved week by week until I no longer saw a clone, but someone truly unique.
He remained humble which I think the viewers appreciated and from all accounts soldiered himself through a painful illness without complaint or excuse.
I am looking forward to hearing that first single on the radio – job well done Phil!casey
Participantand thanks for the heads up. So glad you were able to ferret it out.

Participantbecause I’m so used to Idol Wednesday, forgot it was Tuesday this week. ITA with the judges on that cheesy first record for Jessica. Just too generic, though I can’t fault Jessica – she did about as much with it as possible. But it just may have hurt her.
On the flip side, Phil’s record song was outstanding! For the first time I did not see Dave Matthews or Joe Cocker but Phil with superb potential. I LOVED that song – so subtle and wistful and kind of Gaelic/Celtic feel to it.
Phil just might take the title.casey
ParticipantI swear she must have a twin!

Participantto be brainy enough to think about those things!

Participanttheir oh so limited bag of tricks, let’s pull out the pregnancy card again. And IF she is preggers, doesn’t it have to be Austin’s kid?
Talk about going to that well too often!casey
Participantspouts her self-pitying mantra, “I’m the worst mother!” I’d like someone to say. “Yeah, you’re right. You are.”

ParticipantI have a serious crush on Jim Caviezel (sp?)

ParticipantI know she was a huge Josh backer. I too am glad it’s Phil and Jessica.
BTW, Jennifer must really know her music. She made a comment when critiquing Jessica’s “I’ll be There” that she needed a bit of Jermaine Jackson. I didn’t realize Jermaine sang some solo on that MJ hit, and even Jimmy I. had forgotten that and said he probably hurt Jessica with that choice.casey
Participantthat Arsenio explosion going off on Aubrey. Yeah, she deserved it but I found it way way over the top. So kind of tit for tat with me about Clay vs Arsenio.
I think Clay is still seething about losing AI way back when and being known as the runnerup. Even though I think his career has gone better. I believe there’s a lot beneath the surface with Clay and that he has had to “control” some inner demons for awhile.casey
Participantthe after show, so didn’t see who won the car, cash and what Colton said. Hopefully someone else did and can fill in.

ParticipantDoes anyone at Days take responsibility for the sheer stupidity of their product? Why can’t there be more writing like Will and Marlena or the Lexie story? All Days does is musical couples that don’t fit. And I wish EJ would go away. All he does is stand around and act sanctimonious.
These new writers better show me something worth watching.casey
ParticipantAccording to TV Guide this show still has both nights rated in the Top Ten and usually either first or second every week.

ParticipantIs there anyone not sick of this girl’s behavior? It has long ago lost any effect and has just become annoying noise for me.

Participantso then it would make sense.
