First off, those characters were lively and entertaining – not this dreary pair we’ve got. And people keeping those couples apart were villains we love to hate. Hardly the likes of Chloe and Ann.
Third, the dialog and SLs were far more intriguing, making you want to watch each day. This constant drab repetition between Jen and Dan is just unbearable.

would be a huge mistake. Just look at the recent past winners – all who never won challenges and flew under the radar. Cochran is a very likeable and sympathetic character who could garner plenty of votes against the more nefarious types like Phil.

when the old writers were let go – for this sorry bunch? Boy, would I love to sit down with them and get some notion as to why their SLs are so appalling and lame.

for HK. I can’t believe Jeremy actually got anywhere in the food biz – or any biz for that matter. Can this sleepwalking kid be that clueless and such a dufus? How laughable that he could even run a local diner, must less be considered to run any high level restaurant.

I can only imagine how humiliated some of these Days actors must feel spouting this insipid dialog day in, day out. I think Jennifer is the most woeful character ever. At least with Jack she had spunk and fun. Days has turned her into a painfully meek and depressing pathetic figure that is unrecognizable and painful to watch.
I continue to be dumbfounded how any writer could think this prolonged agonizing stretch is entertaining. Where is the light and joy on this show?

is very annoying. I theorize that living under the shadow of famous bro Alec – and having it rubbed in by Trump who constantly points out why SB doesn’t approach Alec for $ – is a thorn in his side. I’ve seen enough stories on the Baldwin family to know they are mega competitive and Stephen likely doesn’t want to go to his bro for anything.

notably the passion and aftermath. I was happy to see they pretty much stuck with Biblical scripture. Christ’s cruxification was brutal so I have no problem with the graphic nature. The actors were quite good too.

a key reason why the team concept doesn’t work as well. You don’t get to see each designer separately, only in conjunction with one another. We don’t get to see the full individual personalites this way, nor what they can truly deliver.

at Devin’s departure. What I’m seeing is a terrific voice but something about him just not current enough. I think that radiates most with these young voters which is why Laz remains each week. Angie should have been in the bottom – I don’t get at all why Burnell was there. That guy sounds like no one else. I think the judges are keeping that save in their pockets in case someone like Burnell needs it.
While Niki at times gives some very interesting comments, it’s true when she’s negative she goes all the way. I do not appreciate her “honey” and “baby” references. She tries to make it sound sweet but it is insulting and un-called for.
Love Keith and loved his performance last night.

Daniel’s. I understand the challenge was supposed to be based on art but that “circus tent” of Patricia’s was a hot mess.

last night. Who got voted off?
Yeah, I agree about Malcolm. Always liked him but he’s getting a bit arrogant this season.

the Janelle/Kree duet but apparently wasn’t good as the judges dumped on it.
Once again, it was Janelle who impressed me most. I had dismissed her early on, but the past two weeks she has sparkled. Love her takes on these classics and this girl can sing!
Most disappointing was Angie. I’m beginning to like her less and less with these fluffy songs and her “I just want to have fun” proclamations. Boy did I love her when she performed her own material at the piano early on.
    Amber was terrific.
    Really enjoyed Smokey as mentor.

interesting about Nick. He’s not all bad and I like the conflicting layers we’re seeing.
I agree Cameron still bland and Kate/Rafe is a who cares for me.
How Stef/Sami/Will plays out should be worth watching.

from head to toe. The outfit was so cute and I loved her hair which I think was all hers. She doesn’t need all those extensions.
