Well the show started off with a major bang! Candice was fabulous!! The first duet with Kree and janell(whatever her name is). I had my back turned for most of that performance and I thought their harmony was really nice, you knew when it was Kree who was singing. Oh Lazaro….he was alot better this week, he looked adorable,, if singing doesn’t work out he can definitely go into modeling. Janele was good, I didn’t really love it as much as the judges did. I think it’s funny, you can tell that Nikki doesn’t like mariah, and probably the other way, around too, I don’t think Nikki looked over at Mariah once. Lol. Devin was pretty good, again didn’t blow me out of the water but I think he did has a good voice for that song. I was thinking the same thing Keith said about seeing him thinking about things. I liked him. Brunell was good as always, and looked sexy in all white. He was definetly the best male of the evening. Angie was ok, I totally agree with Randy that it was really pitchy. She might be in the bottom this week. Amber was really good too, I think Angie, and Devin are going to be in the bottom. Really???? What the heck? did you guys think the guys trio performance was that awful??? kree is wonderful, I think she might be in the finale. If she should ever get cut I bet they use the save, or did they already use it??? Basically a really good night!
the Janelle/Kree duet but apparently wasn’t good as the judges dumped on it.
Once again, it was Janelle who impressed me most. I had dismissed her early on, but the past two weeks she has sparkled. Love her takes on these classics and this girl can sing!
Most disappointing was Angie. I’m beginning to like her less and less with these fluffy songs and her “I just want to have fun” proclamations. Boy did I love her when she performed her own material at the piano early on.
Amber was terrific.
Really enjoyed Smokey as mentor.Oops I was a month ahead, I meant 3-25.
I think Nikki is becoming the new Simon. She barely makes sense, sometimes she has good comments, like when she told Lorenzo to not listen it Jimmy, just do what he feels comfortable doing. Janelle impressed me too this week, I don’t even watch the show Nashville, but she looks like she could be on that show.
And boy is Keith urban(sp?) a cutie patootie! I agree about Smoky too he was awesome.
I know I felt the same about angie, i think she had the worst performance. I loved the girls trio. They were awesome. Did you see the boys trio?
you said, casey, almost to a T. Only one thing I would add is that I really enjoyed Devin’s solo performance. I liked the way he put his own stamp on the song (Janelle did, too). I really hope he doesn’t go home because he adds a little variety to the other singers.
because most of them never even heard these songs. I really liked the way Burnell did My Cheri Amour. I agree about Angie, she murdered Shop Around, and could be in trouble tonight. Amber, God bless her voice, she is magnificant. I will be horrified if she’s in the bottom this week. Her voice is as near to perfection as Whitney herself, but for some reason she’s not responding well to the "young" voters and I can’t figure out why. Lazaro should have been gone by now, but his looks and disability are what’s keeping him in there, I believe. No wonder Nikki calls him Ricky Ricardo. I could really hear it last night, when he sang For Once In My Life. I just don’t think he picks the right songs, and/or at times the right key. I love Devin’s voice and the way he controls it. Clarice is amazing, as is Kree and Janelle.
I thought the judges were really rude to Janelle when she performed her duet with Kree. Even if Kree was that much better, they could have simply complimented their duet, which I really liked, without embarrassing Janelle by throwing her under the bus, where she certainly did not belong. The judges, with the exception of Keith Urban, were more than a bit OTT last night. Between Mariah with her "#POW" on every remark, and Randy with his "you know what… (insert name) is BACK and he’s/she’s IN IT TO WIN IT," and Nikki’s rudeness to these kids when she doesn’t approve of them …. seems to me everyone would be better off if Keith was the only one to come back next season, if there even is one.
Don’t know if anyone watches it, but The Voice has really taken off. The talent on this show is spectacular this season, and the judges are fair, complimentary, and know how to let people down with ease, grace and kindness. Better watch it, AI!!!
You mean Candice, not Clarice. I agree with you about Kree and janelle’s duet. I really liked their harmony, and yes Kree does have a stronger voice , I don’t really think they made a positive remark about it. What did you think of the boys trio? Nikki was alot more harsh with her comments last night, i hope if AI is going to come back next year, PLEASE don’t bring Nikki! She’s more annoying than Kara. What other judges were there last year, I can’t remember. They should keep Keith though, Nikki and Mariah are really long winded.

I really didn’t want Devin to go home tonight. I thought maybe the judges would save him–the crowd was seriously backing him. Wonder who didn’t vote for his save.
I was shocked that devin was let go, he did a fabulous job on his save song, it was beautiful. Man this sucked, I think think patti might be right on Lazaro, he is sliding by on his looks and disability. Devin wasn’t perfect, but I think he gave stronger performances. Maybe it will be a girl in the finale and maybe brunell? I really like him. I couldnt believe Angie was safe. I think Lorenzo and devin did a better job than Angie last night.
Duh, Patti!!! Anyway, I’ve been saying all along, these guys are going to be picked off one by one and all 5 girls will still be in it. But Devin should not have been the one to go this week. It should have been Lazaro.
at Devin’s departure. What I’m seeing is a terrific voice but something about him just not current enough. I think that radiates most with these young voters which is why Laz remains each week. Angie should have been in the bottom – I don’t get at all why Burnell was there. That guy sounds like no one else. I think the judges are keeping that save in their pockets in case someone like Burnell needs it.
While Niki at times gives some very interesting comments, it’s true when she’s negative she goes all the way. I do not appreciate her “honey” and “baby” references. She tries to make it sound sweet but it is insulting and un-called for.
Love Keith and loved his performance last night.I think all of the judges wanted to keep Devin but Nikki did not, Devin was one of Mariah fave, and that should say it all ( I think the two ladies still hate each other ) and if you recall Mariah stated that the bottom three (the three guys) no saves would be done, I think she knew that the two bottom would be Devin or Lazaro, and Lazaro is Nikki’s fave. I think it was a little payback for Nikkis other fave( can not remember his name but it was a large Black man) that got the boot the first night and she wanted him saved.
