ParticipantThis one in the Ferry Building, don’t remember what pier that is.
You forgot about the artichoke festival in Castroville. I LOVE that one. Liked the garlic festival too but would never go back again…too many people. But it did get me to taste garlic ice cream which was surprisingly good. So was the garlic jelly. It’s great with cream cheese and crackers, just like the pepper jelly. I lived 35 miles north of Gilroy and when they were processing the garlic in the summer, you could smell it in the morning when it was damp out. I kid you not, that stuff wafted all that way.
I also tasted my first abalone at the Mendicino Inn. OMG! That was the best I’ve ever eaten since. Kinda sad when your first experience is as good as it will get. My nephew used to dive for abalone up there during the season (which is only one day long) and bring it home for me to fix but I could never get it to taste near as good as they did. Or as tender. They must have used an extra heavy hammer or something. :o)

Participantthere’s nobody left that I really care to have win. Nobody!

ParticipantCountry Something-Or-Other, she plays a country singer and does quite a bit of singing, even doing a concert in front of thousands. I’ve got a feeling her career is going to continue in that vein rather than acting.

Participantthere’s no cheese like Wisconsin cheese, right Bono?
Hey Pammy, have you ever visited the Cowgirl Creamery? It’s not too far from where you live but I can’t remember exactly what town but it’s just East off 101. They give you a tour of the creamery and then samples to take home with you. Really delicious cheeses. Not a big variety but what they make is exceptional.
Also, there’s a cheese place (what do you call a cheese place?) at the San Francisco pier and when you even begin to get near it, the aroma is absolutely heavenly. I can’t think of anything that smells as good…except maybe caramel corn. And I’ve never seen so many different kinds of cheeses.

ParticipantI did like to see them together. But you know our show, they just can’t leave well enough alone. No couple can be happy for more than 10 minutes. They should just keep them together and let them become the anti-Tom and Alice.

Participantfor Abe to go off half-cocked seeing Ben hugging Lexie. He did the same thing with Daniel. I don’t think our good mayor is very secure in his marriage. The thing with Brandon should be well behind them by now.

ParticipantI’m not going to buy that for a minute. Puhleeze. Who does the horizontal mombo when they are out of their mind with fever, or whatever was ailing them at the time.

Participantwould be to have Hope acting undercover while she’s in there. That way, Bo could see her any time he needed to. And the warden could even be aware of it (even if she is in on the shenanigans) because that would really put her on her toes and she would not be able to abuse Hope as she is doing now.

Participanthe has Carly in his life now and that may have dimished his feelings for Hope. Of course we, the viewers, don’t want to believe that but in real life, wouldn’t that happen?

ParticipantYou can’t make a comment like that and just leave us hanging. I can’t imagine you’d watch anything I wouldn’t…except situation comedies. I HATE them, mostly I think because of the laugh tracks. Those just drive me crazy. I will NOT watch any show that uses one.
I guess my most unusual show for a 71-year old bag is Pawn Stars. I love that. Don’t know why but I do. Those two kids are absolute dufusses but I like Rick and the Old Man. And the stuff they get on there is very interesting AND informative.

Participantbudget wise. They can pay someone like the warden maybe $20,000 a year as opposed to John and Marlena who together probably get around $ 200,000 each a year. Four hundred grand pays for a lot of small potatoes.
As much as I’d love to see J&M back (oh, how I would!), I don’t expect it to happen unless things change significantly in the money department. And I don’t forsee that happening either. In the meantime, I like to see some new characters once in a while. I love Ben (just because I really like Ty Treadway, as I’ve already mentioned a gazillion times, but the warden and that other Bozo in the prison I could really do without. Carrie’s return…not so much.

ParticipantWhat I don’t understand about the prison system is they provide these guys with nutritious food and exercise to make them healthy and strong so they are in good shape to fight each other and the guards. I think they had the right idea in Alcatraz to keep them fat and out of shape.
They should have jobs to do every day just as they would outside. And not just laundry and kitchen duty. Do like they used to do when they made license plates, have them actually produce something that can be sold in exchange for their keep. I wouldn’t even object if they were paid as long as most of it was kept for them until they get out.

Participantin JAIL. I said they don’t wear them in PRISON. They wear either scrubs (often orange) or jeans, tshirts and sweats.

ParticipantI don’t remember that show. What was it about? Was that the Miami medical show? If so, no, that one was cancelled.
Bonbon
ParticipantI wonder how she’s going to play into things. Another leg in the Victor/Maggie/Vivian mess? Or maybe someone to give Kate a run for her money (Sttefano)?
And why are they bringing all these new women in, how about some hunky guys?
