ParticipantAlthough I sometimes wonder when a couple is on a soap together and they are paired up with someone else (i.e. Mel and Chad) how they feel watching them kissing that person. It’s one thing to know it’s going on and another to be right there watching.
And on that note, I’d like to know how Scott Reeves is doing with Missy and Daniel together. (Geeze, I’m mixing actors’ and characters’ names here…sorry about that.)

ParticipantI just thought when he answered the first one he took it out of his pocket. Oh, well, I was just looking for a nit to pick. :o)

ParticipantI’ve read that an alcoholic is going to be an alcoholic no matter what they do. Even if they don’t drink a drop they are still an alcoholic.
Conversely, there are people who, no matter how much they drink, will never become an alcoholic–in the scientific definition of one. I think Nicole falls into that catagory. Does she have a problem with her drinking, absolutely, but I don’t think it will ever be her downfall nor will she ever hit the gutter because of it. She just is able to drink a lot.
And, Patti, I so agree with you about her belonging with EJ. They are just so absolutely perfect together, you could even see it in their spoof of The King’s Speech. Maybe someday down the road we will see it happen. And, yeah, he should be on his hands and knees.
As to GG’s eyebrows, heck, that’s just GG. I don’t find them distractive at all, they give him that dark and dangerous look. (My husband’s were just like that, except they weren’t quite so attractive when they turned grey. LOL) Like Nicole and her booze, no matter what you do to him, you won’t make him unattractive. (Pony tail…too funny)

Participantthat Muldoon will be returning as Austin. I think he career has taken him beyond soaps at this point.

Participantthat she spends the rest of her life constantly looking over her shoulder in fear of someone looking to get retribution for the murder of her sweet little girl. That would be just a small pay-back. And I certainly don’t advocate vigilanteeism or murder but I wouldn’t shed any tears if someone were to be successful.

Participantif they are convicted. Since she was acquicted, she can exploit it all she wants. THAT’S the part where I said there ought to be a law against.

ParticipantIf that were the case they shouldn’t have been serving on a jury. They held a person’s life in their hands and would think they’d have attached much more concern over that than their personal "discomfort."

ParticipantI thought they both did great jobs in their roles but they definitely played them as two entirely different people. I thought KS did well as the teen but I understand she has matured in her acting abilities as well as her age. If you were to ask me which I’d prefer to have back, I don’t think I could say one over the other.

Participantbut one (or more) of these could also become a classic eventually. The King’s Speech could certainly become one, not only for its entertainment value but also for its historical (which, from other programs I’ve seen, depicted it pretty much accurately). (Sorry about the poor sentence structure here but am under heavy pain meds which are affecting my poor old brain.)
And these movies were not only on programs like Entertainment Tonight or other of those type shows but also on the mainstream primetime "news" (20/20, 60 Minutes, etc.) and late-night shows (Leno, Letterman, etc.) I don’t know how anyone that watches TV or reads a newspaper could not possibly know what shows these were. Just sayin’…

Participantis the money she’s going to make from this. That is absolutely criminal and should be against the law.

Participantwhether or not you had seen the movies. Because they were the best picture nominees, they were showing clips of them all over TV before the Oscars. And the spoofs were mainly of the clips they had shown. I didn’t see The Fighter but recognized the move right away.

ParticipantIt makes the dog look like such a doofus. It would have been better if they had used cute little clown-like mutt instead of the Golden, I would have accepted it better.

ParticipantAll-in-all I loved it but I think they missed the boat in a couple of places. First of all, they were using contractions in True Grit and there were none used at all in the movie. That was one of the things that made it kind of quirky and enjoyable. And I’d say that Melanie won as best actor over-all, hands down.
I wonder how many people even knew that, oh, dang, what’s her name…the annoying one (Kinsey?), was even in the movie Social Network, it was such a small part. She kept saying how boring it was, that made me LOL. And I thought Chad took second best actor for his role. Excellent. Using the twins as the real-live twins was brilliant (it was fun seeing them both together) and having everybody, even Theo, claiming ownership of FB was very funny. That was probably the best skit of them all.
Although I enjoyed EJ and Nicole, I didn’t get they were doing The Kings Speech until half way into it. But, yes, it was nice to hear EJ speaking something other than his "wussy" English at the end. He and Nicole play so well off each other, it’s a shame they can’t use that more in the show.
I didn’t see The Fighter but I thought the sisters were an absolute crack-up. Even little Ciara pulled it off. And Maxine in the blonde wig was too funny.
Although Hope looked great in The Black Swan, I thought that one could have been done better. I liked that they referred to her as a skater (because of her real life experience as one) instead of a ballerina but Maggie’s part left me cold. But LOVED EJ speaking French at the end. I felt like Gomez Adaams…sigh!
I think it’s kind of fun to let them do things like this occasionally. It certainly lets them show off their talents in areas we’d otherwise never see. I loved it. I’d give it a 95.

ParticipantI’m sitting here eating blueberries, strawberries, and cottage cheese. Now just how patriotic is that?

Participant13 years ago! You continue making gall stones but you’re supposed to be able to pass them.
I know what you mean about getting the testing done during an attack. It took me about 8 months to do it. I carried around a prescription for the blood test to take to the ER when I got one. When I finally got there I explained everything to the ER doc and he said, "Boy, I wish all my patients could come in with a complete diagnosis like that!"
I read about the opiates causing the spasms but I also read that they help the pain if you take them after the spasm begins. Go figure. It doesn’t seem to make any difference how much I take, sometimes I’d get one, sometimes I didn’t. I will say though that the longer I had them the milder they got and the shorter they became. The bad thing is that the doc couldn’t tell me if the pain I was having was from the stones or the spasms. I won’t get spasms again but I can still get stones. Great!
