we all feel your pain and probably all 100% agree with you.  Is there ANYONE out there that is looking forward to this?  If so, I want to make an appointment with Marlena for you.  (I’ll probably hear from Bono on this!)  :o)

If they are deciduous trees, they will change colors and drop their leaves no matter where they are, inside or out.  But people don’t usually put deciduous trees in malls, just because of that.  (Speaking with experience after managing a large office building with lots of trees in lobby.  We exclusively used palms and tropical trees.)

They tried that once in a mall in San Jose after they enclosed it (using oaks and red maples–which are VERY expensive, the maples, not the oaks) and had to change them all out because of the leaves falling all over the place.  Someone certainly wasn’t using their noodle when they made that decision.

Speaking of oaks, the city of Coral Springs (where I live) requires every new home to have at least one oak tree in the front.  The city is only 40 years old so I don’t think they considered what is going to happen after another 60 years or so.  These trees are going to be so large and drop so many leaves, AND ACORNS, they are going to have some real regrets.  Not only that, they have terribly invasive roots that are going to lift, crack, and destroy sidewalks, curbs, and streets.  And, of course, you can’t cut one down without first getting a permit and then replacing it.  With hefty fines if you don’t.

My tree is only 11 years old and is about 25 feet high.  Not only that, it must have dropped a million acorns this year.  I couldn’t believe a tree could make that many…they were EVERYWHERE.  And, of course, that brought lots of squirrels for my dogs to bark at.

    I guess I have word diarrhea today…sorry.

I have a separate section for it in my recipe binder.

I put all my recipes in the computer and printed them out for a three-ring binder.  I had to convert all my mom’s old recipes where she had written things like, "add vanilla," (no amount) or "bake for 20 min" (no temperature) "stir in flour till mixed," (no amounts).  There were a lot of them like that.

It also helped to get rid of all the recipes on scraps of newspapers, magazines, Post-it Notes, etc. that I had tucked in a box.  It took me a long time but it was worth it.  I have two, one just for desserts and the other one for everything else.

Of course I still have a ton of cook books.  I don’t know why, I’ve never been a really good cook (although I LOVE to bake), but I’ve just collected them through the years.  I’m not sure I’ve bought even one of them.

I got my very first one before I was married.  Every time you bought gas they’d give you a cookbook of a different category and when you collected them all (25), you got a binder to put them all in.  That went in my hope chest…very first thing.  And thank God because I didn’t know how to cook a thing when we got married.

This is probably more than you wanted to know.  :o)

I just can’t express how badly I hate this.  Worse that making Will gay.

Sami hates EJ.  Good Lord, she tried to kill the guy.  Why in the world would she ever have sex with him?  And to do that to Rafe, who loves her SO much and is SO good for her is totally and entirely ludicrous.  I have lost ALL respect for these writers.  There are some places you just don’t go and this is one of them.  It would be like Hope having sex with another man at this time when they are so happy.  It doesn’t make sense at all.  If they were estranged or having serious problems…maybe…with somebody else but, no, not with EJ.  Not even then.

I hope the show gets a flood of letters telling them what an idiotic idea this is and the head writer should have their iPad taken away and be grounded for a month!

I had forgotten just how handsome he is and it really showed when he saw Brady.  He really looked happy to see him.  Good scenes.

And is Madison in denial about how she feels about Brady or is she just holding on to her strong convictions?  I can’t figure out which.

When we went to city hall to get our license, he had to take his mother because women could get married without parental permission at 18 but men had to be 21.  I always joked that his mommy had to give him permission to marry me!  That was 53 years ago but, unfortunately, a divorce prevented us from celebrating it.

You could always renew your vows if you want to wear a wedding dress.  Heck, look how often they do that in Salem.  Maybe when the 60th rolls around.  :o)

Mix 2 c. (or 1 can) pumpkin puree with 1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar and 1 1/2 tsp. pumpkin spice.  Bring to a slow boil and boil for 10 min.  Let cool.

Heat 2 c. whipping cream to a slow boil and boil until it’s reduced to 1 c.  This takes a long time, 15 – 20 minutes and it goes fast at the end so watch carefully or it will burn on the bottom.  Scrape the insides of 3" vanilla bean and mix in with cream.  Let cool slightly.

Poor cream into pumpkin and stir well. Pour into sterilized jars.  (I use little plastic containers because it doesn’t last long enough to actually "can.")  Cover and keep refrigerated.  Makes approx. 1 1/2 pints.

but I believe you have to be an amature to be on Idol but you can be a professional on X-Factor.  That may be why they have a better quality of singers.  I haven’t watched it myself but believe I heard that somewhere.

(at least from the previews) is about Rumplestiltskin. Or was it Cinderella who promissed him her baby?  I don’t think so but it was a long time since I’ve read (or told) any fairytales.  Well, maybe one or two to my boss when the occasion warranted it.

but I do remember her saying it was enclosed.

I thought they goofed for a minute when Brady (or Dan) said it was good to get outside but then I figured they had been running outside and just came in from the piles and piles of snow they must have been running in.

and I hope to God that if a real emergency arrises the sound quality is better.  I could hardly understand what he was saying.

And I don’t know how this test was any different for all the others they’ve done in the past.  Why all the big hoopla and publicity about it?

how many of you married couples go around mooning, and extolling the other one’s virtues, and saying "I love you" as much as these two do, ad nauseum?

And if I hear Marlena tell John one more time that he’s not guilty and couldn’t have done it (with a million paraphrases), I can’t be responsible for any reactions I might have…including extreme peril to my TV set.

Although I like Abbie and Chad together, I won’t care if he hooks up with Mel.  That’ll kind of leave poor Abbie out in the cold though, which, come to think of it, is exactly where Mel is right now.

And it looks to me like they are still going to go ahead with the Will-is-gay storyline in spite of all our protests.  I guess it just goes to show us exactly how much they care about how we, the fans, feel.

Actions speak louder than words and he actions looked to me like she still wants him.  I mean, how many times was that during the storm.  They were like a couple of rabbits.

And on that same topic…what red-blooded American man would sleep nude under the blankets with a nude female and not "do anything"?  Talking about Brady and Madison.  Yeah, sure Brady…you were a perfect gentleman.  Did she take her own clothes off or did you help?
