Participantis only use the outside isles of the supermarket. Most stores have as you enter, fruits and vegtables on one side of the store, as you turn the corner, (always in the back of the store) is the milk, OJ, yogart, and other dairy products, then as you turn the next corner, there are the fish and poultry. If you stay away from the inside isles as much as possible – you can purchase healthy foods.
Another easy tip is only eat foods that are recognizable. If the food doesn’t look like your great grandmother made it, don’t eat it. I doubt grandma would recognize bright day-glo cheese powder and mac out of a blue box! Avoid processed and pre-packaged foods. I haven’t watched this show you folks are talking about but I’ll bet he’s saying the same thing we’ve all been chatting about.
It’s just as easy to cook or make fresh vegtables or a green salad, and other good tasting foods as it is to buy prepackaged foods. Before I retired I worked ten hour days, not including commute time, I would as a time saver pre-cook a lot of the main dishes one day – flashfreeze and then come home place in oven, make a veggie and salad and dinner is just as quick as drive-thru and so much better for us.

Participantthat it is the parents/grandparents/caregivers responsiblity in the children’s lives to make sure that their children are eating properly and nutritiously.
This is ten years into the 21st century, for at least the last fifty years people in the USA, have known what proper nutrition is, (unless they weren’t paying attention). Who, (I’m talking adults), doesn’t know that an apple is better for your body than a Big Mac?
It is the parents/grandparents/caregivers role to make sure that the child has a roof over their head, a warm and safe bed to sleep in, goes to church or temple (or whereever), sees that the child attends school each day (to receive a good education so this cycle doesn’t repeat itself), gets outside for play and fresh air and most of all makes sure the child knows that he/she is loved and cared for.
The sad thing is that the role of teaching children what is proper and good for them has been abdicated by letting the television, the streets, the schools and now, the state raise children.
I also believe this is another reason why childhood obesity is so prevalent, a lot of parents/(etc.) would rather plunk their children down in front of a t.v., give the children $300 Xbox’s or the like, so they can relax and have a martini. Children don’t know what we (an older generation) knew when we were growing up – you do your homework after school, you go outside to play with your friends, you respect your elders and you eat what you have placed in front of you.
If the parents/(etc.) do not feed the children properly or in essence feed the children’s souls, children (and adults also) will look for a replacement such as food or drugs to find the love that they are missing in their lives. It doesn’t take a village to raise a child even though they are trying.

Participanteven Kate and all the other bad guys too. I miss the "good ol’ Days" when Stefano and Victor were really baddies.
Not sure if I am actually "cheering" for the "bad guys" like you mentioned – I just like the angst and strife they bring because they (the baddies) make the story interesting. We don’t, (at least I hope we don’t), know people like Stefano, Victor and EJ and the rest that have made the story’s riveting and mesmeric. Since the first cave man Oog sat around the fire telling the first story about a bad dinosaur that had stepped on and smooshed his friend Uug – the "bad" guys have had their place in fairytales, stories, books, t.v. and now movies.
I think that’s why I personally watch "Days" because it’s the ultimate never-ending story (or at least I hope that it’s never ending). The traditional good story always has a catalyst (the villian) that brings discord and dissension to the story’s inhabitants and a hero to put everything right again.
I don’t want any one of the characters to "go away" or leave the show, they make our show. I guess it’s a natural human characteristic to "gritch" or gush about who we like at a particular moment in a story line on any given day. Otherwise we wouldn’t be watching.

Participantdon’t get me started on another show! I’m already "addicted" now to Southland because of y’all…now I’ll have to sit down and watch "Dancing" to see what you are talking about. Guess what they say is true – "The best advertising is word of mouth".

Participanthave had their big brooooo-ha-ha (I don’t know if that is a real word or not)…however, now that they’ve had their knock-down-drag-out…I want to be front and center ring side seat when Sami finds out about EJ – I hope Nicole and Stefano get to watch too. Then they can have their turn. (And you know I love EJ, but he’s got to pay for what he did).
Instead of lighting into EJ though like Sami always does with her temper, I would love to see her act like (remember I said those two words), she has thrown Rafe over and is interested in EJ and putting their family back together forever…EJ falls for it lock, stock and barrel – he said he already loves Sami, so he believe it. And then in a few months after EJ thinks he’s in the clear and he has Sami forever, lowers the boom on EJ – BAM! (Maybe with Nicole’s, Stefano’s help and Rafe’s blessings).

Participantmust be on strike or she could help you with Daniel’s eye patch…I’m wondering whose going to end up in the hospital next? I thought it would be Anna but she’s being taken care of Stefano unless he drags her back to Salem (after he drags what she did out of her). Sami and Nicole look too tough after their fight to end up in the hospital. Instead of having Bo totally disapearing for a month – they could have stuck him in a bed again and pre-recorded the scenes.

Participantto have Vivy see Victor with anyone, but especially Carly, (even on a made up reason). It would drive Vivy bonkers! (More than she is)…

ParticipantI guess you don’t watch "Day’s" then either because Salem is a who’s who of who’s slept with whom
(or is it who?

Participantall the way around from the interaction with the characters, to the dialog between everyone, it was fast paced, made sense and moved the stories along.
I can’t see Maggie and Victor together, but they had a wonderful scene today. I think I was almost as surprised as Maggie when Victor was at the door.
As much as I love Vivian and her meddling in everyones affairs and business for comedy relief and fun. I would really love for Victor to play a vicious mind game with her and court every available and eligible woman in Salem, from Fay, Maggie, Caroline and even make Vivy think that he’s still interested in Kate or even Nicole! Just to see Vivian’s face would be great!

ParticipantExactly! I don’t give a rip about the Hollyweird actors and their affairs – it’s not real life – (well, not yet anyway) – all I want to know about actors is if they can hold my attention with their acting for an hour or two.
So true – we watch for escapism and to get away from our daily grind. I think in our show(s) we’d still like the fairytale we all grew up with, "the happily ever after". We’re smart people. Most of us, in our own lives have a version of the prince, but we know the prince isn’t going to come riding in a on a white horse to our rescue, (nowdays we can rescue ourselves) BUT we do like the intrigue, romance, adventure and love that signifies the prince. At least I do.
Bring back the fairytale. The fairytale was positive and uplifting, instead of seeing all the sadness and detrimental story lines that permeate the movies and t.v. shows, perhaps society would get better or at least feel better with the positive.
