(although I haven’t watched in the last three days — saving on my DVR) – I think Brady getting more "down and dirty" will bring depth to his goody-goody character.  I still want him to be a good guy but I want to see another side of him, he’s been stepped on by too many women (Chloe and Nicole, and even Arianna) and I would like to see him come into his own.  Get ready to step into Victor’s shoes (hopefully, not for years and years) but when it’s time.  And he is John Black’s son, so I can see him being Victor’s blood AND John’s son – a good combination!

Stephanie as my least favorite characters…(not actress), but I still get peeved when she looks drop dead gorgeous all the time (not that there is anything wrong with that).

I’d just like her to be more of a "normal" woman – even Sami – wears little makeup occasionally as does Hope for when the scene calls for it, but Chloe is always perfectly coiffed, dressed and make-up perfect…she is a Barbie doll character to me, not "real".  Anyone else agree with me?

the DVR to look, Brady is a lot older than 18 that’s for sure!  Unless he looks older than he is – which is not even possible given his history.  IzzyB died when he was a tiny baby.  I wish Day’s would get this "stuff" (I was going to say the other word that begins with an "s" because it makes me livid when they suspend reality like this)…right as we all didn’t fall off the turnip truck yesterday as the writer’s seem to have at times.  I sit there and mentally scream at the t.v. at times when watching the show when they do stupid stuff like this.

and we have some of the most beautiful deserts, mountains and beaches in the world.  I’ll tell ya what’s worse than the earthquakes…our taxes!  They would scare the you-know-what outta most folks (except maybe New Yorkers).  And living up here in northern Cali…you are correct, it’s like an 18 wheeler driving by but you mention the word "earthquake" to a non-Calfornian and it’s "freak out time" while with us it’s ho-hum…But then you mention hurricane or tornado to us and it’s "freakazoid time" for us.  I guess it all depends on whatcha get used to, all I know is hurricanes and tornado’s happen every year for months on end but we only get earthquakes (the bad kind) once in a blue moon…now watch, next week we’ll drop off into the ocean (Heaven and God forbid!)

And I know Florida well, being a military brat up until I was age 25 – I was born in Escambia County at the navel station in Pensacola, but never lived in Florida – parents were just coming through to visit grandma after living over seas, and mother decided to go into labor with me.  My father was born and raised there and I have lots of relatives (wouldn’t know them from Adam but they are there).  Been back to visit on vacation as a youngster though.  I loved watching the thunderstorms roll in across the sky…and the fact that every day it would rain for about 20 minutes, always made the air smell good (not good as you say for a convertable car)…ha-ha!  How did you decide to move clear across country?  Family?  I used to love moving at the drop of the hat being a miltary family in fact, I still have that wonderlust to move every three years – it’s in my blood I guess.  But I’ve been pretty much in this area for quiet awhile now…(at least until the earth moves! ;)

her!  Never, ever, never turn your back on a pit viper!  And no.  Brady is not given to common sense, let’s face it, most of the time he is clueless.  Look at him with Chloe and Nicole…

(to us in California, anything past the Rockies or the Sierras is very far east) you must have gotten our summer this year…normally, we’re 100’s from July through early Sept. (now) and sometimes into October, and currently we’re in the mid 80’s with only a few days of upper 90’s to 100’s.  So we’re loving our mild weather.  And hoping for a very cold, wet winter!

We all are in awe here of what you all have to go through back east in your winter time with the ice storms, blizzards*, thunder/lightening, Snow as high as four story buildings, etc. each year.  I see news reports on t.v. some times and people who live in snow country driving sedans – I guess snow tires work, but if I was going to have to drive that kind of stuff every winter, I’d invest in a 4X4 for sure!  I own one of those here and all our pavement does is get a little wet…

And I am very much looking forward to winter and "cold".  But our winter isn’t like your winter…I don’t have to wear a coat, (in fact, haven’t owned a coat in six years), a sweater on a "cold" day suffices…(and believe me I don’t like to be cold with my achey bones), but I’d much rather have the cooler weather.  We get two seasons, Hot and Raining.  Hot from April, to October – Rainy from November to March, (if we’re lucky), with a lot of nice sunny, cooler days in between.  From June through September – nary a sprinkle.

I miss the fall weather with the leaves turning like you guysies back "east" have.  That would be fun to visit.   I only have to drive 50 miles to see snow (like – Donner Party snow*) in the winter if I want to see snow.

that very thing the other day…I don’t know if it’s because I am older now, that I like the older characters, Stephano, Marlena and John were always my favorites.   I’ve gritched about the teenagers on the show and their story lines for 20 years, but I’d much rather watch Victor/Maggie/(even Vivy) and Stephano and Katie along with Bo/Hope.  – Also, Carly and Abe and Lex, than suffer through with Chelsa, or even Stephanie story lines.

I’m so glad we don’t have to watch Jan and Shawn anymore…yeech – I still cringe after all these years.  Will is watchable at he isn’t a flighty, weird teen as most are/have been on the show.  I like and can watch him.  I can even watch Chad as he is better now that he’s not caught up in the Mia thing.  There was a sidekick – a guy who played Will and Chad’s friend that could deliver good lines and was interesting but he was just on the sidelines.  There was also a girl  that was always a _itch who hung around with that kid.  Last I saw her she was working at the pub, but I didn’t like her then.  Can’t remember either one of their names.

Sami although, not a teen by a long shot is getting on my last nerve because she will not grow up.  It would be so great for her to become more like Marlena was (as the show needs a character like her for stablity).  I’d love for Sami to go away for a month like Bo and Hope did and come back a completely mature and calm person.  And she would never, ever, say the line again – "I’m doing this for my kids!"

him, so she’s 46 or 47 or perhaps even 48 (when you consider that Bo and Hope have been together for 25 years – Shawn and Belle sailed away what  two years ago?) so if Hope had Shawn at 19…

I think Carly is 49, 50ish, also, given normal time/history.  Danny seems to be early to mid 40’s (I thought he was a intern not a full-fledged doctor yet, when he attended the medical convention and "hooked up" (as the kids call it), with Carly, so wouldn’t that have made him just about 24- to 27 at the convention?.

As for Phillip, I see him more at late late 20’s – to early early 30’s, just because he went to war (twice?), had a face transplant, ran Titan, plus he had to graduate from college at say 22, went into the military (training takes at least a year) and then was deployed the first time).  That’s a two year stint that would have made him, at least 24/25/26, and then with at least a year or two for facial surgery recovery 26/27/28.  Being a big wig at Titan for a couple of years 28/29/30ish.

Sami has got to be about 35, 36, since she had Will when she was what 17? and he is now 17/18.  Marlena (is 60ish) John is my age to the date and year 57.  Roman is in his early 60’s.  Kate, same age as John.  Victor in his late 60’s early 70’s, as is Vivian.  Stephano 70’s? – hard to tell as the Phoenix has risen from the ashes so many times.

You can go crazy trying to figure out real time for the Salemites that’s for sure.
