Sami turns her back, Eric grabs Sami and Brady is just standing there and somehow manages to let Kristen go and get the gun? I’m to believe that not one of those guests could have taken hold of Kristen? The show is just too campy.
Eric grabbed Sami which caused a sympathetic reflex on her part and that caused her finger to pull the trigger. When someone grabs you, it’s a natural reaction to flinch/tense up. And that is why you have to be careful where you redirect the muzzle of a gun if you attempt to disarm someone.
Didn’t even say that. In fact, I think Belle’s reaction and the fact that Rafe will arrest her, are ridiculous.
I cant figure out how Brady or anyone else for that matter couldn’t restrain Kristen *while* Eric and Sami were turned away.
Did you notice right before Belle slapped Sami – Sami said "I didn’t mean to shoot John." OOPS – big editing miss lol
on anything these writers, including the great Carlivati, try to pass off as ‘believable’, as it relates to DOOL, a long time ago! I don’t even enjoy commenting anymore; it’s that bad!!! Boo…..time for another change in the writing staff!!! I would like to be wrong, but perhaps Corday is just sitting back and waiting for them to simply write themselves off the air.
earlier, how with all those guests no one could take her down. Hope and Rafe are a disgrace to the police force. I don’t know how these actors can keep a straight face with some of these scenes.
I thought Sami was supposed to shoot John, but accidentally shot Marlena. Who knows, the whole scene was over the top stupid. No one with a phone, no takes down Kristin who isn’t even armed, and the person who gets jumped is Sami who has a gun. That was pathetic!
… but (dumb)Bell(e) and everyone else is. The writers know nothing about sympathetic reflex, etc. They should consult someone before writing any scenes involving the handling of firearms as they are clueless. I’d be interested to look at old film to see if Hope or Rafe index their trigger finger when pointing their gun at a suspect. I’ve tried to do that when watching the show, but couldn’t tell. Talk to any law enforcement officer or firearms instructor and they will tell you not to put your finger on the trigger until you are ready to shoot at a target.
And it’s the same in hospital scenes, and as a nurse I’m constantly irritated. Kayla is applying a bag mask to her and they haven’t even started proper CPR.
Forget ACLS guidelines, after they "resuscitate" her they wheel her to the waiting room and the :"medical" folk leave this unstable patient with what looked like a transport tech. I would have expected her to be entubated with multiple lines and monitors along with trained staff as they rush her to the PACU!
as well as my own thoughts above, all I can say is: "I REST MY CASE."
One bright side, however, was the final scene with John and the wedding dress. That brought real honest tears to my eyes! Beautiful scene and beautiful acting by Drake. Everything else was a hot mess! And by the way, "shame on you, Eric."
