Just seems out of character for Anna to kidnap and ransom Sidney. First off, she’s hurting Sami the most and what has she got against her?
Second, I can’t see the money motive.
Third, has she thought that kidnapping is a felony?
Fourth, if she’s sticking it to Stefano, it’s EJ who’s suffering more.
Are we supposed to believe this is the result of some deep trauma from Tony’s loss? She seems quite “sane” and even flippant to me.Out of character- Yes, for the last few years but not for the early years when we first were introduced to Anna.
Hurting Sami- Maybe she’s getting back at Sami for hurting her daughter, Carrie? She’s really hurting her ex- Fauxman too by taking his grandchild but she took his daughter away from him until she was 5 years old before so this could be normal for her.
Money Motive- I’m guessing when her business failed and Tony died, she was left with very little. Anna has always been into money/wealth. She dumped Roman to live the rich life.
Kidnapping a felony- Like many criminals, she doesn’t plan on getting caught. She doesn’t believe they will find her.
Sticking it to Stefano- Stefano has always been about family and spawn so yes, even though EJ is suffering too, she’s still sticking it to Stefano by taking away his grandchild. EJ also knew about Tony being on the island and did nothing to help so I’m sure she doesn’t care if she hurts him too.
She hasn’t seemed her self all the time.
how no one suspects that E.J. is behind this whole thing. All of the shock and amazement on his face when he is alone is only a red herring that hides the fact that he is the person Anna is working with, except now I think she’s gotten too greedy and this is where she will slip up. I know hardly anyone agrees with me on this, but in the end I suspect that it will have been E.J. all along who planned this entire mess, and frankly I’m soooooooo tired of this storyline.
Anna would be acting different. She is not acting like she is working with EJ or anyone else. I also don’t think Anna would work with a DiMera.
So far this SL has my interest. I think it is a good SL, with suspense and involving many people.
Thats possible, also it would get Sami away from Rafe, so that he and Sami could get closer looking for their child.
Anna is mad at both Stefano and E.J. for Tony’s death. She wants a way to get back at them. Victor loves money and hates the DiMeria’s and is still stinging from the five million E.J. took from Mel when she was trying to pull one on both E.J. and Victor over the plans for the whatever-it-was that Nick designed with Max’s help. What a great way for Anna and Victor to get back at the DiMeria’s and get the five million back they stold.

If EJ is behind this as a motive to get back together with Sami, that would be a fantastic twist! It would be so in character with some of the things he’s done in the past. The only problem I have with it, is he seems genuinely worried. And, he’s been pushing Sami a lot and that would kind of defeat his purpose. I honestly don’t know what he’s thinking or doing as of late. I’m having a hard time reading him.
As far as Anna is concerned, I see this as being a way to really stick it to the Dimeras. It’s weird and off-the-wall, but I guess it kind of makes sense. Not sure why she’s so mad at Sami. She knows Sami hates the Dimeras too. You’d think Anna would respect her for that, but who knows. There are a lot of things that happen on this soap that I can’t really make sense of and just have to go with it. So, that’s what I’m doing here.
Because of Carrie and everything Sami did to Carrie.
If EJ did this, I will be disapointed in the writers. I understand twists, but twists that make no sense are just poor writing. I mean why blame Ari? Why blame Stephano? I mean if you are doing this to teach Sami a lesson, why in the world would you be against your father who also hates Sami? If you were so "hurt" that you lost time with your daughter, why would you not go and see her? I mean this SL just has too many holes in it for me to swallow.
