This guy’s voice just knocks me out! I know so many people wanted Jackie Evancho to win but the thought of a 10 year old having a Vegas show really bothered me.
I wish the show were limited to 18+ years old – just don’t think any kids should be headlining in Vegas. Jackie needs to be mentored and developed by serious opera professionals so she can grow up to star at the Met. It takes a ton of training – they have to learn several languagues, learn how to act – it takes years.
and although that little girl may be headed to stardom one day, you are absolutely right and I posted in another thread that I think that is the main reason Jackie didn’t win. She is a 10-year old child with a magnificent voice and talent far beyond her years. When she does develop it and learns to truly become an opera star, I’d be willing to bet anyone, anywhere, that she won’t be headlining in Vegas. LOL. Michael Grimm, however, is perfect for Vegas. Move over Wayne, Frank, Tom, etc., there’s a new guy about to hit town, and he’s going to be right up your alley. I just wish he would smile a little bit more. He always looks like he’s scared. But I thought he was terrific.
