Was her son David Banning? I think her grandson was Scott who at least 20-25 years ago was going off to medical school! Don’t even try to figure out how old Alice must be – easy 120!
Julie’s son. In the 80s he had a 10-12 year old so that kid should have had grandchildren by now the way Days’ ages kids. And you’re totally right about Alice. Just think how old Doug should be by now? His daughter is in her late 40s-50s (she had Shawn who made her a grandmother). He’s older than Julie (we just figured out that she has a son who is even older than Hope as he was an adult with kids when Hope was a young teenager), who must be at least 80 given the aging. So is Doug around 90??
Of course this is a soap so the parents don’t rapidly age when their kids do, in fact, they seem to regress. Just look at Marlena. She had Sami when she was in her later 30s and Sami now has to be (16 having Will a 16 year old now=32), we’re looking at close to 70 for her but she sure didn’t look it!
Is in his 80s I believe… I just checked IMDB.com and Bill Hayes just turned 85 on June 5 (he was born in 1925).
Susan Seaforth-Hayes is going to be 68 on July 11, she was born in 1943. So there’s 18 years’ difference between them.
We pretty much always knew this though.
I don’t know what happened to David Banning though.

Deidre Hall will be 63 this year. Drake is about 8 years younger than her. I think the characters were supposed to be closer in age than that. I have some tapes from 2003 (Salem Stalker) where Marlena looks older than she did when Deidre left the show last year. They have minimum plastic surgery when they go on vacation rather thn drastic work every five or six years like some stars.
Sometimes on graveyard shots the year date is covered on the markers by a hand, flowers etc. to make it more difficult to figure the years.
I thought I’d read several years ago that they had to use a special lens to film Marlena. Much the same way they did with Cybill Shepard on Moonlighting. It’s soft focus and doesn’t show the lines and wrinkles as much.
