The real problem with the Haley SL (outside of the fact that I do NOT want politics in my soap) is that we do NOT care enough about Haley to care if she goes or stays LOL…
I’m so NOT interested in the SL b/c she’s not essential to the show. If she’s deported who will miss her (outside of JJ and Tripp) ?!? Not me! Nothing against the actress but it’s hard to see these new characters in "peril" when we don’t care about them (yet.)
I don’t understand why Haley wants to marry Tripp instead of JJ. Is she actually attracted to him? Is she so mad at JJ that she is doing this out of spite or to make him jealous? Or do the writers need an excuse for Claire to be angry enough to kill her? I haven’t liked the Haley character from Day 1. I don’t care if she is the D.A.’s sister or daughter. I hope they kill her off and send Claire to jail for life—after it is proven that she set that first cabin fire.

it’s laughable that Haley could just get hitched and that would end her deportation woe. Gee, she gets caught, is ordered back to China, then can simply marry and the officials will buy it? And if she goes that route, marrying JJ would serve her much better as there is at least a little history and believability there.
This character needs to be fleshed out more, shown a greater spectre of emotions and I’d like to see the musical side brought out.is SO angry at JJ when she was the one who opened her big mouth in the first place. If you don’t want your secret spread, don’t tell anyone! In my opinion, she is more to blame for her secret getting out than JJ.
the actress makes me wish a director would stop her ridiculous index-finger pointing everytime she opens her mouth. It’s a bad habit her stage presence doesn’t need. I don’t know if anyone else has noticed it, but I have and sort of makes her laughable for me.
