There’s a lot I am enjoying going on with certain storylines right now, (like the beginning of Hope and Aiden), but there are a few things really bugging me about others as well. Here are a few:
1. It’s always fun to watch Sami and Kate in some kind of partnership/conspiracy s/l; however, that board meeting was so OTT I was waiting for the two of them to levitate. These are supposedly two competent, successful, savvy businesswomen. Why couldn’t they have been shown that way by taking command of that board meeting by portraying them in a way that was believable as two powerful, moxy professionals and having these (cough) high-powered executive board members eating out of their hands. But no, instead they were more like the comedy team of Lucy and Ethel, and that was disappointing for me. The letters Kate wrote on behalf of Stefano and E.J. actually made me gag!!! (LOL).
2. E.J. and Abigail scene was total filler. I mean how many times is he going to summon Abbey and she dutifully appears, only to give him snark while trying to maintain that she no longer cares anything about him. Give it a break, both of you!!! If truth be told, this is E.J. DIMERA you are screwing with (pun intended), little girl. The E.J. of old would have reached through those bars and choked the damn life out of your sorry a$$ instead of cow-tailing behind them listening to your drivel on. Abbey and E.J. were both ridiculous today. I know what this man is capable of, and this young woman should be reminded of it at all times. Instead she keeps trying to convince me that St. Abigail doesn’t miss the sex and lust from the big bad man she offered to become a mistress for. So, please stop with these little chats writers, and remind this girl who she is dealing with, and that if she misses Nick so very much, he will be happy to arrange for her to join him. E.J., grow a pair and remember who you are!!!
3. How many times is Daniel going to try and convince his self that he no longer has feelings for Jennifer and needs to move on. Not that I want to continue seeing their daily angst, but Eve and Daniel???? Please, I would rather stick a fork in my eye than watch these two all summer long.
4. Jordan and Ben’s secret is finally coming to light, and I cannot tell you how happy it makes me to stay in front of my TV when they’re on and actually watch what happens. Now that daddy, Clyde, has entered this story, I’m all ears and eyes on their backstory, even though Clyde is proving to be extremely creepy. Hope he takes some of that creepiness out on Kate, because I think she opened Pandora’s box where this Ogre from the Ozarks is concerned, and the sooner Rafe finds out about it, the better I’ll like it. Sorry, but Kate’s intuition tells me she knew exactly what she was doing when she brought this man back into Ben and Jordan’s lives for no other reason than the fact that she wants Rafe all to herself. Careful what you wish for, Kate. I’m just sayin’!!!
Aiden & Hope, even though I think they’re cute together, without a clear cut end to Bo. It just seems out of character for her.
Ben and Jordan. For all the buildup we’ve had with these sibs on the run, the reason better be darn good. James Reade’s Clyde looks well up to the task of a super bad character.
I do like Aiden and Hope but agree Bo has to have closure for them to progress.where she said the Bo situation has been resolved and that they have already filmed it, but nothing more than that to offer, so I can’t wait to see how they did it. I think it was a Michael Fairman interview. I’ll try and find it and post it.

DAYS Kristian Alfonso Chats On Upcoming Scenes That Help Resolve Bo & Hope, Daniel Cosgrove & The Tearful Goodbye to Nick!Photo Credit: HutchinsPhoto.com
Kristian Alfonso (Hope) has been one of the leading ladies of NBC’s Days of our Lives for decades! Recently, Hope has been back in police mode, being a single mother, and clearly falling for a new man in her life, Aiden played by soap veteran Daniel Cosgrove. After years as being part of one of soap opera’s all-time super couples Bo and Hope … how does the character move on? How do the fans move on? This has been the plight the DAYS writing team have found themselves in, as well as Alfonso, since the departure of Peter Reckell as Bo Brady, who last aired at the end of October of 2012.
On-Air On-Soaps caught up with the Kristian at the recent Daytime Emmy Nominee Reception where she was on hand to support her peers and her cast mates from DAYS to get her thoughts on a few subjects: Her touching scenes where Hope says goodbye to a lifeless Nick, how she is creating new on-screen chemistry with Daniel Cosgrove, and if the soap will finally, once and for all, seal the fate of Bo and Hope… since for all intent and purposes there has been no change on the horizon of a return by Reckell. Here is what Kristian shared!

One of the best performances I have ever seen you give was in the episode that aired recently where Hope is crying over Nick’s (Blake Berris) dead body in the morgue! I think you deserved some additional kudos for that … it was heartbreaking! Do you remember shooting that scene and what was going through your mind at the time?
KRISTIAN: I do remember doing that. It was very hard to deal with that as it was shot at the very end of the day, and it was like the directors were yelling, “Go! Stand here … and do it!” I was crying so much, and trying to remember where I was coming from and trying to hold everything together. I think that was for Hope the resolve that: I have failed you. I am devastated, and am so guilty, and you deserved so much better then what I gave you. And the sad part for her is that Nick really wanted to make a change, and I think Hope carries that with her, absolutely. The tears and the loss was just tremendous for her.

So what has been like playing opposite Daniel Cosgrove (Aiden), as Hope’s new love interest?
KRISTIAN: Daniel is very sweet man. He is very funny, and he wants to work hard, and I love that about him. He is a family guy who adores his wife and his children. He has three girls that are all ballerinas and he has a little boy named Fin. So he is traipsing back and forth from the east coast all the time and commuting right now.
People are still screaming: “Bring back Bo! Why aren’t they doing everything to get him back on the show?”
KRISTIAN: … Because Peter Reckell (Ex-Bo) doesn’t want to come back. So it’s confusing for the fans, because then he tweets out something different.
They have got to do really do something about this on-screen already, because it still giving fans an expectation that Hope and Bo will be reunited!

KRISTIAN: They have done something about it. We’ve done it and we’ve shot it. Hopefully it will be great, and what I love in the casting of Daniel Cosgrove is that he is so opposite of Bo. We will see where it goes. I love the fans and their support has been absolutely incredible. I was reading some tweets recently and they were saying, “Hope and Aiden aren’t even together yet, and I want them together!” And that is fantastic! The writers have done an incredible job. It was frustrating for me at the beginning, but I really truly appreciate and totally understand why they paced everything out, because now Hope would have the opportunity to be a single mother going through all of that, and trying to juggle all of that, which also involves the whole thing that happened with Nick. She is trying to tend to everyone, but the only one she is not tending to is herself. I love where they started with Aiden and Hope being so combative, but I got to tell you, I love where they are going with the story, and I could not be happier.
So, what do you think about Kristian’s comments that DAYS is finally did something about the future of Bo and Hope more permanently that will open her up to further storyline possibilities? Obviously I totally agree with all your points but the last one.
I do like Ben – but Jordan is a snooze!!! And I like Clyde (love James) HOWEVER I do hope that he brings Jordan and Ben to their knees. When they finally see him it better not be "oh dad – you’re here?" It BETTER be something like a total and major breakdown when Jordan (and Ben) see him for the first time. I want them to shiver and shake and not be able to handle it. With all this build up (albeit as boring as it is) I want it to be worth it – and that’s the only way they can do it.

I love that Kristian spoke up about Peter. Seems, from her words, she’s a bit peeved that he doesn’t want to come back although he says different. Sorry Peter, I love Bo but c’mon… your ass isn’t working so u should’ve just came back. I get it – DOOL wanted to give you less… money matters etc. But again, what ELSE are you doing now? At least come back to close out the storyline. You owe that to us. But whatevs… it looks like they took care of it in a way that makes it work.
I like Hope and Aiden – so I hope they do it justice. At least we FINALLY got a couple that doesn’t bump into each other, go on one date and fall in love. The pacing has been perfect as far as I am concerned.
a solution for Hope and Aiden will be coming, whether it be from Bo himself or by other means. If Bo doesn’t come back briefly to resolve things, one would think that they would find a way for Hope and Aiden, if the current SL is to continue. Give it a little time; that’s how I look at it. I like Bo, but if he won’t come back, then I am strongly behind Hope and Aiden and waiting for the Bo factor to be solved.
being sympathetic towards sami. after all that she has done to others, esp. rafe and lucas ( sex with ej), and has been forgiven and become friends with them, she goes after abigail as if she, sami, had never cheated.
watching the “payback’s a “*itch” Sami in action it does seem a bit overkill. She and EJ weren’t even married. Not that it excuses the betrayal but does the punishment fit the crime?
Ever really cheat? With the exception of cheating on Rafe with EJ (grief sex) did she ever cheat on any of her men? I know there has been a lot of men but did she ever really cheat on any of them?
Technically, they were not married but they were engaged and living together, so they were in a committed realtionship. They had a disagreement over family, but were still in the same house. I would think EJ whould have been trying to win her back instead of venturing into other territory!!
When Lucas and Sami found out that EJ DiMera was the father of his believed son, Johnny, Sami asked Lucas for a divorce because Stefano had promised to end the Brady/Dimera blood feud if she married his son EJ. Lucas reluctantly agreed and Sami and EJ were married in November 2007. Shortly after the conclusion of the ceremony, EJ was shot in the back and temporarily paralysed (an affliction he subsequently faked). Sami and Lucas remained sexually intimate despite her nominal marriage to EJ (so she cheated on E.J. WITH Lucas).
When Lucas revealed to Kate that he hired a nurse to watch Johnny and Ali, he instead went to the church and got his gun and it was thought he shot EJ (later it was revealed that Will shot E.J.) However, Lucas confessed and was sent to prison. While in prison, Lucas REFUSED to see Sami, and told her to get on with her life, a decision he later learned he would regret, because after his last rejection of Sami, she and EJ moved into the DiMera mansion to make raising Ali and Johnny easier. (Marlena had already moved in, because John Black took over the mansion when Stefano was in a coma.) Then Lucas got out of prison on house arrest and came home to surprise Sami. He opened the door and found Sami and EJ in bed together. Afterward, Sami divorced EJ.
