Was that the St Luke’s Summer Gala? Artwork & a dance between Aiden & Hope in Kristen’s old hotel room, and Marlena MC’ing on a TV?

It was painful to watch. So awkward. And Hope! Sorry but her stick arms and the protruding shoulder blades!! It’s alarming.

I thought Marlena as the MC was actually kind of funny though.

Hope moving her head from side to side while they were dancing? Is that the proper way to waltz? Whether it is or not, it seemed awkward for the moment.

I think Hope would have looked better with her hair down so that her neck didn’t look so long. Aiden looked great, though!

I do believe the head movement is a part of the waltz. But for Hope who claims she’s no dancer to incorporate this made it look rather silly to me too.
I’m liking Aiden more and more and at this point would not vote for Bo to return.

I can confirm that the head movements are an integral part of classical waltz dancing, and for a very practical reason. Dancers spin around so much they can quickly feel very dizzy. The head turning, left, right, left, right, diminishes the dizziness.

I haven’t seen the show yet but the waltz is in my eyes the easiest ballroom dancing to learn, there’s only 1 set of steps to remember, and the head movements of course. Hope and Aiden may have been able to learn it in about 30 min top!

You’ll see there is much spinning or turning, just the weird head turning. What made it so bad was that Hope was incredibly stiff and looked really uncomfortable. I hope Monday’s show is better.

And agree with you all. With what little steps there were, this much head turning was ridiculous. Then again, in that small a space, what else could the actors do? A pity, considering all the build-up we were subjected to!

I think that Hope WAS uncomfortable because she was dancing and enjoying Aiden while feeling guilty about Bo. I think it was on purpose that she seemed stiff. It is build up to the fact that she IS a married woman and yet she is developing feelings for Aiden and she is scared and confused a these feelings.

I say she has done her part for Bo, time to pick up the pieces and move on.
