This is not a spoiler, but I was wondering if the reason EJ came to the conclusion that Nicole & Rafe slept together was that when EJ finds out that Nicole is pregnant, she can say that the baby was Rafe’s.  If EJ would believe that, there would not be a need for a blood test to prove paternity. If Rafe married Nicole(even in name only), the baby would be legally his since a woman’s husband is automatically listed as the baby’s father.

and of course Sami bought right into it, believing EJ on face value. This woman has really gone downhill for me and I don’t find any pluses about her right now.

the reason E.J. believes that Nicole and Rafe slept together is because he obtained a key to the hotel room from the desk, walked in unannounced, and found Nicole in bed and a shirtless Rafe standing next to the bed (where he was going to sleep on the floor), so it would be a natural assumption for him to believe that they either just had, or were about to have, sex.  The thing that does not make sense is the timeline for Nicole to be pregnant with Rafe’s baby and not E.J.’s, and that will NEVER make sense, so E.J.’s demand for a paternity test doesn’t’ seem that questionable to me.  Of course, we all know how easy it is to alter a paternity test in Salem, so the most important aspect of this for me is it plants doubt in E.J.’s mind, and gives Nicole the chance to figure out how to fix the paternity test if she decides not to come clean with E.J., and at this point, I don’t think she will.  Maybe somewhere down the road, her and E.J. will reunite, but I don’t think it’s going to happen that quickly.

She can always ask Sami or Caroline for help with switching test results.
