I don’t mind Nu Philip – and I liked his scenes with Kate today (Monday.) Everyone comments he looks "too old" but he is actually younger than Jay or Kyle who played Philip previously.
There was a small part of me that hoped the kidnapper killed Ciara – sorry but it’s true LOL
Why did the kidnapper pull his mask off as he was walking away from Hope. Kinda close no? Is that who killed the dude Hope was after (Seth?) Cuz NONE of us believe it was Hope LOL
Again – why is Lani on the show? LOL
I LOVED the scenes b/t Belle and Brady – good chemistry for two "new to each other" actors. Belle and Brady were never on camera together (at least not this Brady with this Belle.)
You know what else I love? Not having to see Daniel Jonas anymore LOL…. He had way too much screen time & I never cared for his character.
When they say things like "Would you rather cross Stefano or Sami Brady" it makes me miss Sami more each day!!! Come back Ali – Pleeeeeassssseeeeeee LOL
I mean, was that it?! Like 5 days and leave us hanging? They’ll keep her in a story line by only mentioning her? I was so excited for her to come back and now I’m just confused and frustrated with what they did with her.
I’m ok with Phillip too, and Brady and Belle did have a great scene. That was about it for me.
She never intended to stay long term. Only came for the "50th" anniversary which IMO was a real snooze fest. There was more buildup with the flyers in every scene than the actual celebration. It seemed like the had a great idea and then decided to wrap up stories instead by killing off characters and then jumping into new stories.
But she came back for the funeral then ran off to Switzerland. Returning only for one day only to be kidnapped and poof we never see her again. It was weird and choppy.
so much more than I did when he played Rex Balsam on OLTL! He had great chemistry with MM (Belle) today. I think for a new actor taking over a very popular role from an even more popular former actor, he’s doing just fine. He’s not going to be "squeaky clean" but I’m looking forward to watching him take over the role. Now him being a problem for Brady …. bring it on, Philip!
Vivian Jovanni (NuCiara) still needs a lot more experience if she’s going to hold any interest for me. Even her breakdown scene with Hope yesterday didn’t prove she’s come any further in the role than when she first showed up in Salem. Sorry!
I know the writers are trying to make me believe that the DiMeras are behind the torture leading to Bo’s death, but for what it’s worth, I’m thinking more that it’s someone in the Kiriakis family …. like Vincent Irizarri’s character who will be showing up soon. From what I’ve read, he is not going to be a welcoming relative for Victor, and IMO will be the person who killed the Dr. (Seth), and may also be the one who kidnapped Ciara. That’s possibly why his face wasn’t revealed when he set her free and took off with Hope’s money.
Totally agree about the character of Lani. Why is she even here? What purpose is she serving? Neither Abe nor Theo seem to want that much to do with her sudden presence in their lives, so unless she has some unveiled secret giving her a sl that will be interesting, I say cut her loose, or find a better actor.
Bell and Brady showed good sibling chemistry, but as an Ali lover always, I didn’t appreciate the shade they were giving her, especially since neither Belle nor Brady have any room to talk. I wish at some point down the road, when James’ new pilot either keeps him busy or hits the cutting room floor, I’m hoping he eventually returns to DOOL, and then I’d bet the farm we’ll see the return of his fair Samatha’!
I will miss Daniel, but I’m really looking forward to his exit sl resulting in his death, because from what is speculated, it’s going to be a doozy that will involve the lives of many other characters, including Eric, Nicole, Marlena, John, Jennifer, and probably quite a few others.
I’m not going to condemn Sami’s return, because I really love my Ali and just wish they would have written her return better. Oh well, at least she has ALL of her children with her on her journey, because I was really getting tired of people condemning her for leaving her kids. LOL! Find what you’re looking for Sami, and come home!
on day one, but today he was better, not so cold and of more interest for me. I too thought Lani would have more impact at this point in regards to her father and brother, but maybe that’s to come. It’s just there are so many characters on the canvas right now. Once the comings and goings settle down maybe we’ll see improvement.
Most of the comments were good ones, but an awful lot have been talked about and that is about statements that weren’t keeping up with the sl’s and others just talk about clothes, hair, looks.
I feel for Ciara because of what Hope has done and she nearly lost her only daughter. I can’t believe that someone would want Ciara to be killed, and Hope is the reason. All this mess she has caused is really stirring up things.
I can’t believe a comment would be made to wish Ciara would be killed. What a shame to talk that way.
At this point I have to wonder where Hope’s family is. I know Roman took her badge but seriously, where are Doug and Julie? Where’s Maggie? She is obviously having a very hard time and not thinking straight . There has to be someone besides Rafe who sees this. She’s delusional and downright irresponsible where her daughter is concerned. She’s hallucinating. And shame on Victor for letting her go off alone! He should know better. This whole thing is getting to be way too much. Speaking of leaving people alone, where the heck is busybody Jennifer? She shows up briefly at the hospital to find out about Abby’s ordeal and then promptly disappears! What parent would do that?? Everyone has lost their mind here.
and the results that befall her are going to fall on Victor’s shoulders because of how and with whom he handled this drug for Caroline situation. I can see the umbrella sl involving the lives of those associated with it unfolding already. Hope is clearly unwilling to accept help from anyone on her quest, so I don’t think anyone in her family right now could make her see things any differently than Rafe or Roman tried to do. I agree that Ciara is the one to feel sorry for in all of this, because she is the only true victim here. I’m surprised she hasn’t discussed Hope’s behavior with Abe, since she’s so close to Theo. All of this will wind up being Victor’s fault and soon we’ll know why. Something wicked this way cometh!!!
Relax for a minute won’t ya. You are easily (and by far) the most negative person on this entire board. Not sure if you don’t get sarcasm and/or tongue in cheek humor. But when you originate a post it’s almost always hateful and negative. When others do the same (in a funny, harmless way) you immediately react.
So please – have several seats and chill out. It’s incredibly frustrating.
I really don’t like the way they are writing Hope. It goes against every instinct of a mother to abandon her children and ruen off to avenge Bo. Does she even know that Shawn and Belle are splitting up? Of course Ciara is devestated about her dad, but I’m sure Shawn is too. This also impacts Claire, she lost her grandfather and her father left. Belle is doing her own thing(rekindling with Philip). Talk about a disfunctional family!!
So in all this, Hope is pulling a BO— avenge the death and be the hero! Bo died of a brain tumor, which could have nothing to do with his torture and captivity. For her to go off on the revenge journey is illogical. However, this is really the same SL the writers used for Sami. She is in Salem, lost in grief for her first born son and poof, she is off on an adventure! I just cannot believe that thisis the way a grieving wife(Hope) and mother (Sami) would do.
I also don’t get why Jen is MIA, she is usually yhe helicopter mom who knows everything. I can’t believe she would accept Abby going off with Ben and not investigate or follow up!!
In my opinion, they are incredibly selfish in their reaction. All of a sudden, they are super sleuths despite what it might so to their families!
For the first time I find myself FF through many of the SL, including "love"scens between Brady and Theresa, what happended to all the promised romance? Chad and Abby, she had a baby like a minte and a half ago! Kayla and Patch, no offense but they are too old for prolonged love scenes!
Sure wish these SLs would goi quickly.
I was stating positive comments and you were being sarcastic(as usual) I am stating the truth and I knew what was going to happen.
I was wondering the same thing last night – she had the baby yesterday and they’re wanting to have sex….what happened to the obilgatory wait of 6 weeks? Did she even go to the hospital to get checked out (internally) – I mean, there’s stuff that’s gotta be done, isn’t there…there was when I had my three?!? But really and truly – couldn’t you just watch Billy Flynn/Chad read a phone book – those eyes, those tears when he was holding Abby. I digress….Yes, there is a lot of suspension of reality in the story lines…But aren’t we liking the writing a whole lot better, h’mmmm?
although I know it is sometimes difficult to do. Shadow is a troll, always looking to stir up trouble and be disagreeable, and the commentary from this poster should generally be disregarded by other board members, IMO. And that is no sarcasm on my part.
