I thought this was the strongest overall perormance by the “stars.” Tommy’s tango was pretty remarkable considering his age.I think Waltrip should have gone home. He seems like a nice guy but I really thought it was his time. He must have a big NASCAR following.
I loved how some of the songs actually fit the style of the dance! I know it was because it was movie night. I love that tango song from "A Scent of a Woman". It is one of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard. I love the song Singing in the Rain but I thought the dance was just okay. I much preferred it when Joey Lawrence danced to that song years ago. I can’t remember his partner back then but it was incredible and so beautifully done.
Why was that comedian on the show as a judge? They couldn’t find an ex-pro dancer or choreographer or even just somebody who is involved with dance somehow?
I was trying to place a face with the style, and all I could come up with was the mother in Psycho, as disguised by the son, Norman Bates. LOL!
Wow, I am totally impressed with DWTS Betsy Johnson; for 72 years old, that woman is limber and quite elegant, IMO!
