these days – I see new names all the time on the new list. I hope they have as much fun as I’ve had with all you folks! Jenn maybe you could let us know? Just curious.
enjoy all the current participants. But, I do miss a lot of the neighbors who no longer post. Several years ago, I made a list of most of the names and the cities they were from, but none of them are posting anymore unless they’ve changed their names. Every now and then, I’ll scan the list and a lot of great memories come back! So, "Howdy" to all those who no longer post!
I came here after alt.tv.days-of-our-lives, which I had been posting on since 1995 just got too unbearable with the sniping and incessant spamming. I don’t know what joy those imbicles get from that but I just couldn’t take it anymore. I found Jenn’s group and what a god-send it’s been. It’s so pleasant but, like you, Lucky, I felt like those people in the other group were family. In fact, four of us have taken trips together, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Orlando and had a bang-up time. (Can you imagine sitting in bed at midnight discussing Days characters and storylines? OMG!
But now I’m getting to know these new people (which is why I really like the OT posts about your lives and what you do) as well, and it again feels like family. So, although I didn’t know the ones you mentioned, I love all you guys (or, as Pammy would say, guysies) just as much.
on our characters…I am trying to be better and spin my critizing of our beloved Days people into a more positive tone as I do with real people – there was a cartoon character a few years back (when cartoons were funny, you know, Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck) and I can’t remember which character said it, (bare with me I’ll get to my point soon)…that always said, "Oooooooooooooooooooooooo, he makes me sssssssssssssssoooooooooooooo madddddddddddddddd" and then the steam would come out of his ears – it might have been Yosemite Sam – (and now to my point)….some of the characters on Days "Oooooooooooooooooooooooo, they make me sssssssssssssssoooooooooooooo madddddddddddddddd"
getting together somewhere, but we never did. However, I did meet smittyarnie (one of us "oldtimers") one time in a place in Indiana when she was traveling to see her daughter who had just moved to Michigan. We met at a restaurant and had a great visit and took pictures to keep. She is a Nebraska fan and I was working at Bowling Green State University at the time, so we wore our college sweatshirts so we’d know each other. Yes, I can imagine you sitting up with a group of Days fans talking til all hours…what fun!!
I think I remember her: is she the one who owned a gas station with antique type gas pumps? I remember some threads about gas prices and someone talking about how they had to change the price to ring by half gallons or something since the pumps were so old that they did not go as high as the "current" prices of the times. (Did I just date myself as to how long I have been reading this forum?)
Well, anyway, thank you JennM for running this site.
never a member of the original board, but I enjoyed reading everyone’s comments. I expecially liked the way the members had an early morning "Hello" to everyone with a little note about their area or life—like "It’s raining in Alaska" or "My daughter leaves for college this morning". None of the board members knew that they were my ‘friends’ but I checked on them every morning.
Later I was able to become a member of the Annex Board and post. I love this board where we can all be together; I wish more of the Originals were on this board. I would love to read some more of those early Good Morning post.
Oh by the way, it is a great day here in TN; the leaves are already turning into a beautiful array of colors, and it is pleasant without the Air Conditioning being on. Hope to hear from more of my Unaware Friends!!!

I think, for some reason, when God created me, he packed me with many more words than he did others and I just have to have a means to get them out. That’s why I talk/write so much. Hope you all don’t mind too much.
Thats the way I was at first Goody, I just came and read the main board, I felt like a member even though I couldnt post. Then I found out about the annex board, I think its been close to 10 years that i’ve been coming here. You’ve all been the one constant thing, no matter where I moved to you all were just a click away. Thank you for that!
It’s a beautiful day here in ohio too, And it’s my 7 year wedding anniversary! Unfortunately I cant be with my husband, but I’m going to olive garden with my mom later! yummy!
in always sunny in California but the good thing is we’re having 80 degree weather instead of 100 degree weather Yahoo! and thank God for small favors and good friends!
When you get to be with hubby – just recreate the Olive Garden moment with your hubby! He will like that! I would love to have an Olive Garden, (it’s my favorite), in our little burg…we have one, it’s 35 mile drive though…I don’t think I want pasta that bad for a 70 mile round trip.
