I find it hard to believe that all these people can leave "the love of their life" and move on to the next best thing in a minute and a half!!!! Maggie and caroline are the only ones who seemed to take time to grieve. I know that the others divorced, but all the more reason to be wary of starting over with someone new.
The ink is not dry on Jen’s, Dan’s, Mel’s, Cloe’s divorce papers!!!April 29, 2011 at 4:55 pm #23263NoraParticipant
At leaset Chloe said that she just got divorced and not in a place to start dating, Mel told Dario the same thing, yet she was flirting with Brady, and Chloe is going to fall in love with the new dude. but yes you’re right, same thing with Dan and Jen they just got divorced and they both said it was a rebound relationship.May 2, 2011 at 3:32 pm #2327753tdogsParticipant
out in the long run…what makes me mad is as you all said, that not only is the ink not dry on some of these divorce papers, heck, the wedding vows have barely floated out of the church (or bar area) before these folks are already picking their next partner…Chloe and Daniel, Mel and Phillip, EJ and Nicole, etc., that’s why I got tired of watching it…same ol’, same ol’…Now I just keep up with what you guysies are saying about the show or on the spoiler sites or from Emails from friends…Even just FF’ding wasn’t working for me anymore – I was ending up FF’ding through 80 to 90% of the show, and after being a #1 die-hard fan for every day of Days for the last twenty years…I just said, that’s it, I can’t take it anymore. I did catch last week a few seconds of Nicole finding about EJ and new Taylor – I hope that Nicky doesn’t just get mad, I hope that she gets sweet revenge and as Nora mentioned to me "opens up a can of whoop-a_ _ on them, a BIG can of whoop-a_ _. You know me, I was a biggie EJ fan, but bleah on his 9millionth fall in for-ever love…SNAKE! Snake, SNAKE! Get ’em Nicole!May 3, 2011 at 1:00 am #23285kprstrsParticipant
Same here. I love me some Bo and Hope, but just can’t bear it any longer. I haven’t watched a show since John and Marlena were taken away from us.May 3, 2011 at 11:57 am #23290PattiParticipant
jump from the frying pan into the fire. Rebound relationships cannot avoid comparisons, and that always gets them in trouble. If you’re going to start a new relationship with someone shortly after leaving the "love of your life," you had better make damn sure that the first "love of your life" is completely out of your life, and you’re not still watching his every move until you wind up making the same mistakes over and over. I can see this happening to all of these characters who leave a "true love" relationship, regardless of who left first, and then jumping right back into another one. That’s always been a huge problem with soaps. It’s just a staple soap opera plot, like triangles and who’s the daddy stories/plots. It’s not just Days, it’s all soaps, and I truly believe it’s what killing the genre altogether. Folks are just plain tired of it.
