My best friend just called me alittle while ago, her and her husband have been going thru the adoption process. They finally finished and they are supposed to get their first foster child sometime this week and it’s a 4 year old girl! She is so happy! And I’m so happy for them! I’m going to be a foster Aunt. lol. just say a quick prayer that everything goes smoothly!

girl. I can’t imagine the life of a four year old little child that is out in the system and being scared, (as all four years old are at times) and no one there to sing her to sleep or give her special hugs and bake cookies especially for her. All children deserve a great home with love…you don’t need a lot of "things" just love. Your friends Nora, are wonderful and I will be praying for them.
They got the little girl, I still dont know if it’s for long term yet, She brought her over here yesterday so i could meet her. She is really adorable. And didnt seem so shy, she was at first, I think she was alittle scared of my oxygen cord but she came around, esp when I gave her the presents i bought for her! LOL. She is a cutie.
That’s wonderful. Friends of mine and her husband decided to foster. The first little girl they got was 4 months old and they ended up keeping and adopting her. Another friend and her husband wanted to foster. They got a brother and sister The youngest was about 1 or 2. They tried to transition them back to their mother but it never worked out so they ended up adopting them.
I went to grammar and high school with a guy who’s mother fostered dozens of kids. All the kids called her mom and came back to visit once they were out of the system. She ended up marrying the father of one of the foster kids.
I don’t know if I could foster as I wouldn’t be able to give them up when it was time.
had three boys and wanted a girl so fostered a baby girl. They had her until she was six and decided they would adopt her. But, she was black and another couple stepped in at the same time and THEY were black also so she was given to them instead. My friend was totally devistated. Imagine having a daughter for six years and losing her to another family.
The other couple moved out of the state and they lost all contact with her at the adoptive parents’ insistence.
