Reguardless of how they wrote the Mickey’s Death, It was indeed a Milestone in Days History. Killing off a major char that has been part of Days Horton Family.. RIP Mickey Horton..

for Maggie. Especially since Mickey has not been part of the scene in years. How will she handle his death – ie go back to the bottle? Maybe some new romance in the cards?

his taking off the wedding ring and the comments about how many times he was gone lately?  Are we going to find out he was with another woman, thus allowing Maggie to move on now?  Any thoughts?

I think Maggie conjectured about how he may have taken it off while getting ready for their trip.  As far as the comments about how many times he was gone, (especially lately – all the mentions of him working out of town and showing his picture) I just think that was away to keep his name in the SL, and now the writer’s have closed that chapter.

I’m sure Maggie will move on eventually – but then Alice never did after Tom’s passing- so maybe they will make Maggie the matriarch of the family now.

As far as moving on, after a year or so of Sean being dead – I would have thought since Victor has mellowed in his "old" age, that perhaps he and Caroline could have gotten together, but I’m afraid that Caroline is complety out of the picture now.  Plus, Vivian is clinging to Victor like a cobra.  I hope they don’t go upstairs in the pub and find Caroline the way that they did Micky.

And they better not do something like that to Mrs. H., she will have to go someday (as we all do), but the show had better do at least a week’s tribute and send off for her!

If/when Mrs. H. goes they’d better have ALL the family come back for that one.  Even if it’s only showing people from the back to acknowledge they cared enough to come back.

sister! I don’t know why the Day’s production team couldn’t take from prior scenes from the show of the filled up church by cutting and pasting  the actors in to the scene.  At one time or another everyone in Salem has sat in the pews of the church.  Like when all of the characters used to go for a wedding or funeral or such.  Heck, you can fake anything on film these days – I’m sure someone from the editing department has that kind of talent.

All they’d have to do is get permission from the actors that have left – if they don’t already have that in the former actor’s contracts.

I really don’t care how they do it, but I want to see Steve, Kayla, Marlena, John, Mike, Carrie, Laura, Austin, Jennifer, Jack and all the rest who are still alive at the church paying their respects!  And there better be a lot of flowers.  It better not be a rushed job.  I don’t care if the show blows a three month budget – they can show reruns for a few months for all I care but this one they’d better do right by Mrs. H.!

We couldn’t go on forever having Mickey be in the other room.  Since the actor is not well enough to play the role and I don’t want a recast, I see this as a great tribute to the character of Mickey and John Clarke.  I also think it allows Maggie’s character to move into a different direction.

Overall I think this is a good SL and a good ending to the character of Mickey.  To me it just didn’t feel right having him there, but not there.  I thought it was lame and just not fair to the character of Mickey or John Clarke who was mickey.

If they won’t wait for the actress to pass on before doing a tribute for Mrs. H.  I am also wondering if many actors won’t want to come back for one day just to pay tribute to her.

But keep in mind, whatever the death SL is, it will have to be off camara, just like Mickey.  Which is very hard to write and therefore we probably will still get a lame excuse of a death.  But it is the funeral and everything after this point that counts.  Which is why I haven’t really discounted this SL yet, I want to see what happens from this point.  I loved the wedding ring part, so I do have high hopes for the next couple days.
