I have LOVED LOVED LOVED these past few episodes.
First – you all know I love me some Sami Brady. She is my ALL TIME favorite Days of our Lives character. I know Ali isn’t interested in doing this full time – but she sure does light up the screen!
Second – I always adore Kate & Vivian scenes. And yesterday (Tue) was no exception. They play so well off each other – it’s like magic.
It’s sad when you watch DOOL and see Ali & Louise – b/c the show is just so much better w/the legacy characters we want to see w/talented actors playing them. I know Steve/Kalya are legacy but LAWD are they boring. It’s a soap. We need DRAMA!!!
I was LOL at Lauren and Louise. Those two are a hoot.
I’d still love to see Ben at Black Patch. Let’s get him, Steve and John on some interesting cases.
Welcome back Ali! The cake stuff was stupid, but I’m glad to see her.
but she sure can get under everyone’s skin at the drop of a hat, and this time around I have to admit, not only did it NOT surprise me for her usual entrance, but it actuallly annoyed me. Like you, TFloe, I adore Sami, but some things you just have to make yourself outgrow. So, she ruins another wedding, one that most fans have been waiting very patiently to see. So be it, but yes, the "brat" is back. I do see why she was so hurt, but people just accept her outbursts and wind up trying to find ways to sympathize with what she did to Eric and Nicole’s wedding and chalk it up to why SHE was the one hurt. Instead, we all just laugh at her antics and say, and heeeerrrrreeeeee’s Sami, who is getting a little too old for catfighting and cake throwing. It’s just not "cute" or even funny anymore!
I know many have LONGED for Eric & Nicole – I’m just bored by them (depsite how attracitve the both are LOL.) Maybe i’m just not as invested b/c it was Jensen Ackles who got his heart broken – not Greg LOL
I’ll never tire of her antics but I get what you’re saying… We can keep Sami as a schemer but "mature" her schemes if you will… Maybe more running DiMera schemes and less "outburts." I wish DOOL would play up the business angles more – I’d love that. But I guess there is no point "changing" Sami if she is always gonna be short term.
Side note – I read on another sight that she’s too old for catfights. Ali is in her mid 40’s – and the MOST famous catfights of all time (Dynasty) had ladies in their 50’s duking it out. And those scenes were ALL magical. So THAT I disgree with you on Patti
I was too young to really GET Dynasty – I was 2.5 when it came out. But as a gay man you know I watched the HECK out of it on DVD’s multiple times (and even on Soap Net when that was on.)
Sans a season or two – that show was AH MAZE ING!!! I wish nighttime soaps were still a thing. Seems we lost nighttime soaps… now daytime soaps… I guess time caught up to them. I don’t envision that era of TV coming back around again. Every new attempt at a nighttime soap has failed
