    In Coral Springs which is about 30 minutes northwest of Ft. Lauderdale and next door to Boca Raton. Jax is way north of me and almost a different state when it comes to climate and the demography. I’m not familiar with that area except I hear it’s very nice there. Much more “old Florida” than down here which is populated with many, many New Yorkers. In fact, I was surprised when I moved here just how many of them there is. Seems like EVERYONE has a New York accent.

    we are planning on moving to Florida within the next 2-3 years, but we are looking at central Florida. Any advice?

    The main things I remember was the awesome teriyaki chicken sandwich at Raker’s off of Sunrise Blvd and how if you drove down A1A you couldn’t see the ocean for all the condos and hotels.  :-)  The last place I worked was on Yamato Road in Boca.

    live in Deltona which is about half way between Orlando and Daytona. It is a smaller town with a “family feeling.” It’s a good place to raise a family but if you’re looking for nightlife or cultural events, definitely not the place to go.
