Idol is awesome tonight, James was awesome on his first song, brilliant on his second song, VERY emotional for him. he had a few sharp notes, but it was still great. emotionally brilliant as Randy put it. Jacob stunk on his first song, he sang the jordan sparks song, it was a duet. he’s sharp on his second song too. really hope he’s going home tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!! I was half listening to Haley but she was better than JAcob, she did an unreleased Lady Gaga song. Lauren was awesome as usual, she did Carrie Underwood. Scotty was awesome too. he was dancing all over the place! So great!
ok, Brilliant preformances by everyone BUT Jacob. I hope he GOES tomorrow! Haley was awesome on her last song. Scotty was awesome as usual. I think it’s going to come down to him James, and Lauren top 3. probably Scotty and James showdown.
who attempts an unreleased song by Lady Gaga, that no one has heard (except when she performs it in a concert), and expects to be successful with it? The judges were right about that. She did a terrific job with House of the Rising Sun, though, and no doubt has talent, but I won’t be surprised if she winds up in the bottom 3 tonight.
Lauren did a terrific job with the Carrie Underwood song, but I did not like her rendition of Unchained Melody. The song was way too big for her, and she left out the entire second verse, probably due to time; however, it took something away from the song for me. She looked nervous and lost with that humungous hit.
Scotty, you are going to be the next biggest country star, no doubt about it, and although country is not my favorite genre, I could listen to you all night long.
James Durbin did a terrific job with 30 Seconds to Mars, but when he takes on a ballad, he makes me cry with him. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it once more, he is an amazing young man with so much emotional baggage that I am surprised he can perform every week in the manner that he does. It’s James all the way for me.
I am so OVER Jacob Lutz; somebody PLEASE stick a fork in him tonight. He has completely turned me around from where I stood on his talent at the beginning.
I agree 100% Patty. I think it’ll be a battle between Scotty and James. Lauren will be 3rd. She’s strong, but just not as strong as those 2 guys. How old is James? is Scotty 17? I Loved loved loved Scotty last night, he was so entertaining on the first song, and wonderful on the 2nd. Jacob was just laughable last night, his arm gestures were a joke. he looked like an idiot! I am so glad Randy Tells it like it is. yeah J-lo and Steven said it wasnt his best, but they try and sugar coat it. Randy was absoutely correct. his first song was horrendus, and his 2nd wasnt much better. I cant believe they like him so much. BUT after last night I HOPE that he goes home, after Haley’s standing O I think that helped her so much. she was 100% better her 2nd song too. Lauren was better on the first. She was out of breath on the 2nd, i love that song too, she said she’s sung it for her parents, didnt Sheryl Crow say to sing it like she was out of breath? I kind of remember her saying that?? I did however absoutely LOVE her dress. she looked beautiful and love her hair how it’s darker on the bottom. it looks great on her.
I think Scotty was best, especially his first song with Lauren a close second with her first choice and loved her dress on the second one.
James was his usual great the first song but the emotions didn’t do it for me with the second. He was good but felt it didn’t add to the song one bit.
Haley’s first was OK but not a good choice for her but loved the second one. She’s a bluesy/jazz singer and needs to do that type of music.
Jacob, what can I say that hasn’t already been said. I wish he’d go home and put us all out of our misery. He might have a good voice but I don’t like his style. He looks like he’s trying to be Diana Ross and he’s not getting it. He’s too divish and his manerisms are distracting the way he bends at the knees and swings his butt, the way he walks like he’s a top model in a runway all the way to the hand gestures and facial expressions.
I have a blog that I write my opinions on the performances and I’m trying not to come here until after I write so I’m not being swayed by everything you are all saying. I agree with most of it but don’t want to take the chance.
Dial Idol has Haley Scotty at the top followed by James, Lauren, Jacob and Haley. Last week they had Casey at the bottom and he did go home but I’m hoping Haley has at least 1 more week and Jacob is the one.
the “results” show and what a waste of time. I mean the contestants rambling about their wardrobe, then a ridiculous spot on how they pick their songs – trying to be funny. Pleae cut this to a half hour and not make us sit through this super dumbness.
I will say J-Lo is in superb shape and can still move great.
Ryan said the result will suprise us. Hmm.My husband thought she looked a bit chunky around the middle and commented she shouldn’t be wearing clothes that show her stomach like that. I think it was the pants and the way they fit. She looked like she borrowed her pants from The Penguin from Batman.
i said they looked like she had a diaper on, hubby said they looked like mini-MC Hammer pants. other than the pants, i thought she looked great.
The ones she had on during the show? or in her video? I never noticed the ones she wore on the show, i always notice Steven’s look before anybody’s. I cant stand his hair feathers or what ever. They are like Kate’s blue streak in her hair.
in the video. They were like gold lame and the crotch was long. It made the pants look really baggy in the front. See this photo that was on the People website. Hope it comes through.
