was very well done, both in writing and acting.
Jack, Jen and Daniel: I thought their scenes were wonderful. Daniel was so hurt, but he still put Jennifer first; and Jack is beginning to calm down some. At least he’s beginning to see how much he hurt Jennifer, and now that he’s practically pushed her into another man’s arms, he’s beginning to realize how much he truly does love her. The idea of Jen dating both Daniel and Jack was a terrific idea. What do they say about not realizing how much you love someone until you lose them? I could actually see the pain and conflict in all three of them today.
Stefano and Marlena: Loved the slap. No one deserves it more. I truly believe Stefano is responsible for all of John’s problems. It’s marvelous how Marlena stands up to him and can see right through him. Loved it when she told Stefano that his problem was that he was jealous of John and that he would never be the man that John is. Sometimes words can hurt more than a slap, and she laid it out for him under no uncertain circumstances.
Maggie brought tears to my eyes today. My God, SR can really act with those kinds of scenes. She’s got to be the best crier on the show, really. I don’t like the look in Victor’s eyes when he realized what just happened, and hope he is not behind this in any way. I think this story is going to be great once it starts really getting into the meat of it.
I am totally in love with Carrie and Austin. They are adorable together, and I hope nothing comes between them; but, if John’s case in any way interferes with their love for one another, I believe that in the end they will come through it. Overall, I was impressed with today’s show, especially the acting.
I know, I thought the same thing Patti, I noticed Victor’s expression right away. Uh oh. of course they have to destroy Magic, we all love them. I only saw half of today’s show, I taped it, I had a dentist apt this morning. but anyway, i saw the last half hour. but I agree about Dan, Jenn and Jack. Im so glad that they are calming him down some. today he was alittle annoying but not too over the top like he usually is. Maggie was wonderful. but again, I didnt like the look on Vic’s face at all.
Just watched the scene and I’m not interpreting what you all are. That is just John Aniston’s look. I don’t think the new writers are such fools as to split apart a pairing the viewers are so very happy about. I think Victor is going to be ecstatic when he finds out who the "baby" is.
ITA about the show. Monday’s show was great. It’s about time we have the exciting Days back. Makes me want to watch it because it’s good, not because I’m trying to see who survives the train wreck.
The slap had to be some of the worst acting I’ve seen. I know I’m in a minority here, but I have no appreciation for Deidre Hall’s acting style. I’m hoping she settles back in to the role soon, but I’ve never been a fan of her acting (although I am very happy to have Marlena and John back on the scene).
I loved the show yesterday and am appreciating that the new writers are actually taking us in directions where there are actual relationships – whether family, romantic, business, work. And, for me, that’s what a good soap is all about!
We are so used to the tired who’s the daddy SLs it will be nice change of pace to have the who’s the baby SL
I thought the look was shock on victors face, but I am sure something in this SL will bring tention to Vic & Maggie because we can’t have an automatic pairing, they need some kind of obsticals.in the minority, DP, but I agree with you about Marlena. Not a fan and never have been. I do like John, however, and I’m glad he’s back on the show.
