Why does John keep referring to Eric as Marlena’s son?  Saying he offered the heart mostly for her, not Eric?  For all the years John thought he was Roman he raised Eric and Sammi.  Matlena raised Brady.  You don’t divy up your kids like that.  It’s weird.

Seeing as though he now knows he’s not Roman, he also knows that Eric is his step-son. If he had called Eric "my son" or "our son" I think viewers would have been very confused and questioned that.

Agreed but he could have said "like a son to me" he didn’t.  He acted like he was a stranger.  He raised Eric during his very young years.  Feels like ignoring history.

Either on Monday or yesterday, John said to Marlena, "Good about your boy" or something like that. Calling Eric "your boy" to Marlena sounded so odd!

They’ve both got a kid with life-threatening injuries – and one of their sons caused this mayhem…I don’t think correct possessive pronouns or labels are popping into their heads right…maybe they should just refer to them as "the boys".  Just playing Devil’s Advocate LOL

and John did say to Marlena today as they were leaving for the hospital, right before Eduardo showed up at their door, "c’mon, let’s go see OUR boys!"
