I am really enjoying all of the recent interactions between characters that are not normally in scenes together! It breathes life into the show IMO. JJ and Paul, Jennifer and Kate, Chloe and Julie, Nicole and Abe, etc. I’m loving how the new writing is bringing the cast together like this instead of the same old dialogue between the same few characters all the time. Bravo, Ron Carlivati!!
and I particularly enjoy Bryan D’s alcoholic scenes. How often have we seen the Lucas of the childish outbursts. But this serious take is drama and I give him big props. I was glad to not see the family convince him to get help. That is not realistic at this point and I hope Days continues to demonstrate the rough road to recovery. Not like with Jennifer who got clean amazingly fast.
Im wondering what happens when Bonnie is exposed. Although the easy way to tidy up the story is Adrienne and Lucas reunite and live happily ever after, I seriously doubt that will happen. Adrienne would have to be concerned about Lucas’s sobriety if he was so easily derailed. Also, I’m wondering if there was some foretelling of the future when Will said that maybe Lucas belongs with Sami. How many times have we seen that storyline played out?
with his "falling off the wagon" role. I hope they don’t reunite him with Adrienne, though. Sami might be where they’ll go, since Will is returning and his parents reuniting wold probably be acceptable with most fans. I just never could, and never will, see him have an ounce of chemistry with Judi, whether she’s Adrienne or Bonnie. This sl will hopefully be over, done with, gone shortly as well.
