I am probably beating a dead horse but What the H-LL did they do to Carley? I realize that as people age, personalities change, values beliefs might even change, but what they have done to this poor actress is absoulutely sad. I was a huge Carley fan when she was on the show the first time around and when I heard she was coming back – I was so excited. Now I am utterly disappointed.
I am not understanding why Carley would need Bo and Daniels help to protect her from Vivian, Does she not have her own money for bodyguards? This part of the story doesn’t make any sense to me. And if the character is capable to save herself from her husaband by killing him, then shouldn’t she be portrayed as a more stronger person? Instead we get a wishy-washy pathetic shred of the character that was once on the show.
I am sorry about the rant but I am truly dissappointed with what has happened to this character. The writers have her acting and dressing like a clueless fool
I just posted a similar comment on the thread above. I am no feminist, but she doesn’t appear to have any self esteem to allow these men to make decisions for her. After such a traumatic thing with Lawrence, she really needs to be alone to sort things out instead of jumping right back into another relationship (with a married man!). It’s not even interesting to watch, and I don’t say that about many storylines.
Why doesn’t she INSIST on staying at Bo’s house?? When they first suggested that she stay with Daniel, she said no, no no I can take care of myself, I don’t need a babysitter, etc. So what happens from there? She’s a grown woman, can’t she just tell them NO? I will stay where I want to stay? Ughhhhh so frustrating!!!
And hello Daniel?? You might want to run this by your fiance first!!! Especially knowing how she already feels about Carly. Oh, the hell she’s gonna give him…
The way they have her made up, her hair definetly her eyes and eyebrows make it look like she’s on drugs. It’s so hard for me to accept that they are SO in love with each other. Makes me wanna puke.
and was really happy that she was coming back on the show…but to see her this way is not the Carly of yester"Day"…I was a big fan of Carly but no more. Another thing I’ve been thinking…would you want or trust your physician to act the way Carly does? Not me.
I actively dislike the character now!!! I feel as if she is being forced into every persons life in Salem. Perhaps we will get lucky and Vivian will succeed in getting rid of Carly. Carly adds nothing but dissatisfaction and disgust as far as this viewer is concerned. How about you????

TOTALLY! I just don’t like this character anymore. Why the heck does she HAVE to stay with Dan while Bo is out of town? Makes no sense to me!
Days is determined to let da plot steamroll over characters. and history. Why must every storyline be about breaking up relationships? Yes, I understand that’s a soap staple, but there are other interesting topics to address. To trash Bo and Hope this way and make Carly the bad guy who everyone continually forgives – Melanie does it daily! – is insulting to me.
I totally agree. Why not have a good corporate takeover storyline or when Bo and Billie were trying to stop that drug ring. Those were good stories and even though it ended with Billie getting pregnant by Bo it didn’t really destroy couples and families the way these are.
It just seems they’ve got 2 or 3 plots they rotate. Couple rush into marriage while one is in love with someone else. Someone from the past comes back to destroy a family. Someone gets pregnant but doesn’t know who the daddy is or the baby is switched at birth.
there is one reason, and one reason ONLY, that we are so disappointed in our characters and their stories today compared to DAYS of old…..you guessed it…..the writers. Back in the old DAYS, the writers were, simply put, better. Soap writers today pale in comparison to the old DAYS writing teams. I realize that there were not message boards like this one way back then, but there are now and still we see it, over and over, bad writing, destruction of characters, changing partners every few months or so, jumping into bed with someone before they even have a chance to know one another; and plot after plot after plot that which, in many cases, either run on endlessly, are unresolved, or simply wind up a dropped storyline altogether, leaving the fans to wonder what in the hell happened? And, I’m afraid it will continue until the writers care about what the fans want as much as the fans care about what is being written, yeah…I’ll say it Dena…for THEM; not for you, for us. You can have all the sponsors available to you, but you still need the audience. Did you ever hear the expression: "what if you had a fire and nobody came?" Well, what if you keep writing crap and one day nobody’s watching? You writers think you are doing the show justice, but it seems all you really care about is collecting a paycheck. Get the hell over yourselves.
when stupid Bo brought a dress for Carly to wear to dinner. It makes me think he didn’t want to be seen with someone looking so tacky. Too bad she didn’t look any better with the dress she put on. You just can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear.
Also, does she(Carly) have to be on every day of the week. It’s getting mighty boring having to look at her day after day.
I understand people being upset about Bo & Carly being together, but it sounds like you’re attacking the actresses’ appearance. I think she’s pretty. Please remember these actors are people too who have feelings (and often read these boards!).
When Carly was on before she had class in the way she carried herself to the way she dressed and looked. That Carly’s not there this time. I don’t blame the actress for that, it’s the writers, wardrobe and hair stylests behind the scenes.
I feel like I’m watching when Chloe first came on, just waiting for the caterpiller to emerge from her cacoon and give us the old "Princess"
