these people leave also. I can’t believe there are that many better opportunities out there for them so, unless they are leaving the profession completely, why would they give up a perfectly good job for what?
many young people feel that Soaps are a stepping stone to nighttimeTV or even better, movies. Perhaps, he feels that he had doen all he can onDOOL. maybe he is concerned he will be typecast to play gays, or maybe he just wantss to try to succeed in the "big time". Hope, Marlena and Roman (I use character names to easily identify people) all left and went to nighttime series.
Younger actors like Chloe, Melanie, Chad, Philip have all left to try their hand at movies or tv. Chloe was in one movie, Pilip had a short loved tv show, Melanie was on True Blood as a band member, Chad had some guest stars in TV.
One of the former DOOL’s ehat made it was the original Eric who is still starring on Supernatural.
Most however, end up coming back to daytime. But they will never know unless they try.
they all think they will make it in the big time but wouldn’t a prudent person obtain the job before leaving the one they have? It’s known as “The First Wing Walkers Rule”…Never let go of what you have until you have hold of something else!
But to just leave a paying job to go see what’s out there is not very prudent. Yes, there have been some that have made it through the years but I still say they probably had the part and signed the contract before they quit the soap.
Yes, to us it would be prudent. However, I think that young people think differently. Also they have agents so perhaps they encourage them to test the waters or have something in the making.
The bottom line is a soap actor can be let go whenever TPTB decide, so they might think they would rather go on their terms than be fired. Remember John & Marlena? Lucas has been let go numerous times!! It seems that DOOL is trimming the cast to make room for 50th anniversary returnees, so some cast members might think it’s time to spread their wings. JMO
Every other day it seems there’s some couple wallowing in bed. You can call it love making, but it is actual SEX overboard. They just want to jump in bed and scr*** every time they can.
J.J. and Paige were disgusting today and J.J. is a liar , telling Paige he loves her. He told her that so, she would give in(she’s not as sweet or nice as when she got in bed with J.J. when he was asleep). How can he scr### Paige when he has had all the romps with Eve. He has no conscious. I will be happy when Paige finds out about her mother. She won’t be so pleased with J.J. when this all comes out. And I wish it would happen soon. Neither one of them are worth spit
Can’t wait until Eve finds out about J.J. and Paige and their scr##ing. She will hit the ceiling.
Her so called sweet girl that she pretends she loves is not nearly as good as she thinks.
JJ has been a royal screwup and is culpable for sure in his behavior with Eve yet I do believe he loves Paige. Remember, he and Paige are but college freshmen so I give them somewhat of a break. I firmly do not believe he told Paige he loves her just to get her in the sack. In fact, it has blatantly been Paige who has been the aggressor, not JJ.
Yes, Paige is not the goody girl we first saw.
Personally I think Jennifer is at the most fault here, not finding blame in her son for his actions and keeping this secret that will blow up bigtime.The comments about Jennifer are right on target. She is at fault and has not done anything to straighten him out let the secret be out.
I just can’t stomach J.J. The way he talks and stutters are like scraping nails on a chalkboard.
These writers sre ruining DOOL with all the sexual crap. DOOL was a great soap and they did wonderful with their scenes. It’s a shame they are not decent writers. They make up this junk while they are brain storming. They really don’t have a brain that is worthwhile.
