I don’t watch in its entirety but manage to catch the contestants I like. Mainly this 14 yr old Rachel Crowe. What a voice and what a performer – last night I actually got chills.
I would say, in general the talent is better than AI, more polished. There’s this young rapper kid who is pretty incredible.
But I am so annoyed at the audience – some are always screaming even during the critiques and it’s difficult to hear what the judges are saying.even when the performers are trying to sing, they (the audience) burst out into these maniacal screams that don’t make any sense whatsoever. It detracts from the performance, IMO. I like Rachel and Melanie for the girls, but I can’t for the life of me figure out why Simon is pushing this Drew gal. I don’t think she can come anywhere near the other two girls, plus what’s with the one-name crap. That’s just a silly copy-cat tactic, and a Bionce or Madonna, or even a Cher, she’s definitely NOT.
but I believe you have to be an amature to be on Idol but you can be a professional on X-Factor. That may be why they have a better quality of singers. I haven’t watched it myself but believe I heard that somewhere.
Simon’s other show – don’t think it’s anything great or new on t.v., guess I may be tired of variety shows in this genre.
they’ve voted off one of her groups, while the other judges have all of their performers still in the running. Guess the voting audience doesn’t like the groups category, even though I thought both of the groups voted off were better than "Drew."
I’ve watched probably a total of 40 minutes of the ENTIRE SEASON of this show. I think last week (or the week before) I got to see the singer (Drew) perform…She was singing a song by Nelly Fertado (sp). She actually sounded really good; beautiful voice, indeed. With that said, I’m just not truly feeling the show. It reminds me way too much of American Idol and America’s Got Talent! Snooze fest, to sa the least.
