I just saw my first episode last night and BOY!, what an intense show that is. They don’t mess around with the boring minutae; they concentrate on the gritty and gripping stuff. If you’re squeamish, you probably wouldn’t care for it. But I found I was literally sitting on the edge of my seat while watching and it was a good thing there were commercials so I could sit back and relax for a minute or two.
It seems like the networks’ primetime shows are going to the dogs while the cable shows are really becoming the must-see TV. Another one I can’t miss is ‘Burn Notice.’ I didn’t like it so much at first but it has completely grown on me.March 4, 2010 at 2:19 pm #11055kprstrsParticipant
GREAT show!!!! My hubby and I started watching it as our daughter’s boyfriend’s cousin is the main Officer (the blond). I have not found a show to hold my interest in a LONG time unless it is on HGTV!!!March 4, 2010 at 10:01 pm #11083
repeats that I taped about a week ago leading up to this new season, and the new episode for this year – good to know it’s a good show, now I’ll be sure to watch it today instead of saving it for a rainy day when nothing is on.March 6, 2010 at 1:05 am #11117
this show started out on NBC, got cancelled, TNT picked it up. I watched it and liked it from beginning, so no wonder it was cancelled on NBC.March 6, 2010 at 1:51 am #11118
first on NBC and they dropped it. TNT has some excellent material on. FX has a lot of good adult minded genre shows also.March 6, 2010 at 5:14 pm #11128
that I love, The Closer, Leverage on TNT. Burn Notice, White Collar on USA. Used to watch Nip/Tuck off and on, got way too gross for me…March 6, 2010 at 6:10 pm #11130
but if you recommend I’ll look for them now…I did watch Nip/Tuck* since it’s inception six years ago. I liked the show, but for about two years it got so ridiculously weird in it’s story lines (and gross, as you said), that I said that’s it – I can’t watch anymore. Then when I found out that this was going to be the last season of the show, I wanted to see how they ended those crazies stories…last show was sort of a let down.
I would have though the ending would have been better in a scene with Troy in a nursing home still carrying on, drinking, (milk now of course), chasing the nurses at an old age, and when we finally see his face, and it’s stretched, lifted and tucked and pulled back so far that he was barely recognizable except for that smile that he always had.March 7, 2010 at 12:34 am #11135
while doing laundry and the other Saturday chores, great show! Thanks!March 7, 2010 at 1:59 pm #11136
I thought it might end up as the 2 of them as lovers!!!!!March 7, 2010 at 4:56 pm #11137
but with that show ~ one never knew plus in away they were each others "soulmates"…still think my ending woulda been better, catch the rerun if you can – I’m sure it will be on. Pretty mild for those two.March 10, 2010 at 5:44 pm #11190
White Collar can be seen on hulu.com. Some on tnt.tv. Another good one is In Plain Sight on USA network returning March 31. Some episodes are on usanetwork.com. Episodes of some shows on imdb.com. I like "Psych" on USA, but i’m sure not a show for everyone.
