I am finishing up watching idol from last night. I must say so far Hollie is my favorite tonight, she seemed a lot stronger tonight, loved her dress. I just cant stand Skylar!!! UGH!!! Like nails on a chalk board! And her dancing, or I should say bopping up and down. I just don’t get the fatuation the judges love her so much, it’s like another fantasia. I just dislike skylar. She ranks right up there with Carrie(days carrie)!!
Jessicas second song was so beautiful! LOL! Beautiful high notes.I think my pics for bottom 3 are jashua, maybe Phillip and please oh please skylar!! Damn and yet another standing o for Joshua!! HUH? He really does sound like fantasia when he gets up with those runs and high notes. I think jessica deserved a standing O after her second song too, I really liked Hollie tonight, I thought she was stronger than she has been. Phillip might be in the bottom too, but I’m just praying skylar goes home!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!
I actually liked Skyler last night, well on the second song.
Phillip is good but I’m getting tired of all his songs sounding the same and he looks and sounds like he’s singing through clenched teeth evern though his mouth is open.
Holly didn’t do much for me but I do agree I loved her dress and could see wearing it during the day or evening.
Jessica was nothing special to me last night. She’s better on ballads but those are getting boring.
Joshua, I just don’t like the guy. He’s got a good voice but I think it’s the judges praise for him that’s making me not like him. Plus, and I’ve said this before, I can’t stop thinking of PeeWee Herman with the jackets being one size too small.
in this season, which started off so strong. First off, cannot stand Skylar – sorry judges, but you don’t need to “attack” every song. Jessica has the pipes but maybe just too young yet to settle into her style. Phil is definitely more unqiue than the others, but I couldn’t take a lot of him. Hollie was the best last night for me and I loved her Leona Lewis song. I think she may be starting to catch on to the judges’ critiques. Joshua, my gosh, I still do not understand these extreme accolades from the panel. I’m beginning to think they’re simply “idolizing” the melodramatic performances of him and Sky.
Since Colton left I haven’t stuck with the show like I normally do. So I’m not that into who wins.about Skylar’s first song, Fortunate Son, was that instead of singing it like the angry protest anthem that it is, she jumped around, smiled, and sang it like she was at a happy hoedown!
Don and I were discussing the judges praise for Joshua and how it usually backfires on them. When they keep singing their praises and pimping them like they are the voters get disgusted and don’t vote for them. Maybe they’want him to go home so they’re doing it on purpose hoping the voters take notice and send him packing.
as they make it all too obvious who their favorites are, and they certainly are beginning to bug the voters, IMO. They can’t continue to push their individual favorites down our throats (like they do with certain characters on DOOL). No one wants to be told who they should keep or who should ‘never be voted off’ (like J-Lo did last night with Jessica, or Randy does every week with Joshua, and Steven with Skylar. I think Hollie has a wonderful voice, and have loved her from the beginning. They finally acknowledged her last night, but still raved about their favorites like it was supposed to influence my vote. Not happening, guys.
I like Phillip’s voice, but he’s a hoot to watch, because he always looks like he’s constipated when he goes up for the higher notes. Makes me burst out laughing. And, really, lose the guitar for a change.
Skylar, like Joshua, seems to think that screaming a song makes you better. Believe me, it doesn’t. Her softer ballads are much better.
Joshua, same thing. I’m not saying he isn’t talented, because he is, but that Sam Cook song he sang a week or two ago was his best performance for me, because he didn’t look like his eyes were going to pop out of his head from "yelling" the song, and some of his "runs" are soooo unnecessary.
Hollie is a great, but she is too lacking in confidence. She always feels she has to one-up the girls, and it leaves her in a vulnerable position that causes her to make mistakes in pitch or range at times. I still love her, though.
Jessica is my favorite, but as with Hollie, sometimes I think she feels she needs to keep up with Joshua to win, and she doesn’t. All she has to do is open her mouth and sing. IMO, no one can compare to this young lady. She is going to be a huge star when this season ends, whether she wins it or not.
I would certainly hope Phillip goes home tonight, but my guess is he won’t. I miss Carlton so much. He was the whole package for me.
They keep comparing joshua to fantasia. Which I wouldn’t take as a compliment cause I. Couldn’t stand her, I think I liked one performance from her, it was a ballad, you probably know the song I mean. During the girls trio you could really pick out Hollie. Which I was happy about. I know I keep repeating myself but skylar needs to go PLEASE!! I’ve actually been slacking on this season too, none of them really caught my attention, except for Colton, and now he’s gone, i still like Jessica, I have from the beginning. She desired a standing O from the judges on her last song too. But skylar is like nails on a chalk board. And her bouncing up and down drives me nuts! LOL.
My thoughts on who is going home tonight is Phillip,My Fave last night was Hollie,but she has been one of my fave from the beginning, Skylar did very well last night but for some reason I just do not like her for some reason , but I think she has a large fan base ( country)… Jessica did great on her second song.. ( great)… Joshua..I really do like his voice , when he sings with out all of the screeming, I think some one should tell him to just sing because his voice is very good.
I think the 4 remainning will be Holly ( I hope), Jessica (I hope) Josh, and Skylar.
