This undercover Hattie I wasn’t expecting but I found it quite refreshing and maybe the best “character” Days has trotted out in awhile. I think I might like Hattie better than Doc!!
it does seem odd to hearing and seeing Dee back in this role, and I liked her acting today with Kristen. I read in spoilers that she would be back, and I didn’t know quite how I would react to her. I LOL’d though when she asked Hope to set her up with Roman when they got out. Just so long as they don’t have her posing as Marlena, especially when John comes back, is okay with me for now though. Seemed strange but funny to see her acting tough with those inmates while defending Hope. This was a good return for me so far!
Diedre Hall or her real life twin Andrea Hall? , I know she was on as Hattie in the past but if you look them up it looks more like Diedre is playing Hattie this time around???
Deidre Hall joined DOOL in 1976. While in college, she had planned on becomming a psychologist. When the show wanted a twin for Marlena Evans, they asked Deidre if she would be willing to play both roles. She told them there was no need for that–she had a twin sister. Andrea Hall portrayed Samantha Evans from 1977 to 1982 and Hattie Adams from 2000-2001. There were one or two episodes later on where Hattie’s character was brought back briefly and Marlena played the part.
I don’t remember Hattie? How long ago was it & why is she in prison? Did the other inmates know her or was she just transferred there?
i think she was a waitress who sort of resembled Marlena. Stefano and his crazy dr. sidekick put her on a diet and gave her plastic surgery so she could impersonate Marlena. Somehow they lured her with getting together with Roman, whom she had the hots for. I don’t know the whole story because I was working those years and watched very rarely.
Guess I’m in the minority… I find this character to be way too over-the-top and just silly. In fact, I have to FF all “prison” scenes with Hope because they make me cringe!!
