Participantwere so good today. I think the young actor (James Lastovic) playing Joe did a much better job today. He seems to be warming up to the role nicely. I loved the flashbacks of Patch and Kayla today, and especially loved hearing Patch play the harmonica, and that was really Steve Nichols playing. I must say, he plays that instrument well. Hope he keeps his promise to his family after he finds Bo, because it will probably be his last chance to ever get his family back if he reneges on that promise and leaves them again. I would like to have heard him answer Joe’s question about what happened in Africa.

Participantthe young actor was pretty static in his delivery at first, but you know maybe it IS his acting. That the character was very uncomfortable returning to Salem and seeing his father etc so he was pretty robotic. But now as he is starting to warm up to his dad he is starting to open up some. And those beautiful eyes!
As for harp playing, I play a bit and truly respect SN’s talent. I am loving Steve’s return which I was skeptical about initially, fearing it might be a dud like last time. But as I said before, the terrific writing is vaulting these returnees.September 23, 2015 at 1:06 pm #48546Bonbon
Participantand am completely self taught so I find it’s not really that difficult to play. Play well, yes, absolutely. But just about anybody can coax some decent blues tunes out of one. The first time I picked one up I played Oh, Susannah.

Participantto play single notes. Once you master that with your tongue the rest isn’t bad if you have a good sense of music.

ParticipantI’d love to learn, but what is a good one to start off with?

ParticipantDon’t get one of those cheapy-cheapy toys but you can get a decent playable one for around $15.00. You don’t want one too complicated to start with or you’ll end up leaving it in a drawer somewhere. As long as there is a discernible do-ra-mi scale, it’ll work. I got mine in a magic store. Music stores usually charge way too much for one.
