A friend of mine said she read where someone suggested using former military to form a corp to protect schools. I like this much better than arming teachers. In fact, former Navy Seals would be excellent.
They are talking about arming teachers and school staff. There is alledgedly a school district in Texas that allows Concealed Handgun permit holders who work for the district to carry a weapon. I am a "guns rights" person. However, I have severe reservations about teachers being armed. There are some people I taught with over the past 26 years that I definitely WOULD NOT trust with a gun. There is also a danger of a kid getting their hands on the weapon. On the other hand as a senior friend of mine pointed out, if staff members had been armed, perhaps one of them could have taken the shooter out and saved some kids.

If they decide it’s not Alz. then I think the are doing a huge disservice to the people who have it or are caregivers for a loved one who has it. If they claimed to have cured her of it, the writers need to be fired.

Having lived on the Gulf Coast all my life, I feel for the people affected by Sandy. Ike did a number on Texas some years back. I was blessed to be able to evac to San Antonio to stay with friends who insisted I stay with them till my power was restored.
The only I want to see ej on Days is in a servere and permanent state of dead. Despairing over not getting Sami, losing his son, and what ever other misery can be heaped upon him, he jumps off the highest point in Salem and goes splat.
