Seriously, this is just a re-write of Sarah being pregnant with Eric’s baby and Nicole hiding the truth from him. I don’t think the writers have an original bone in their bodies.
I guess we’re just different. I just watch and enjoy. I don’t see the massive hole you’re talking about. They’ve made a past for a character and that’s so we get an idea of things. I don’t need to see their whole past played out on the screen.
Considering the whole show is fiction, you can write any past you want for a character. I never remember Paulina being mentioned years ago before she came on the show, and I don’t have to. The show is fiction, they can write any character and any event into the storyline in order to make a plot work. This isn’t reality TV.
He got that evidence to break up Li and Gabi. If you remember, the deal was she stay married and faithful to Li in order to inherit all of Li’s shares in Dimera. She slept with Stefan, so that negated the deal of getting Li’s shares. Nothing more. It serves no purpose now.
I don’t recall anything about a text that Sloan sent Paulina, but that could have happened when I was out of the country.
I’m confused about your question about the Salem Spectator. Is it because Colin pretended to be a health inspector and knew a lot about the case and Abe and Paulina didn’t question it?
I agree, Abe and Paulina should have been able to overpower Colin. He wasn’t armed with a gun.
Lastly, all characters come to the show with a background. We don’t have to see the background in real time. We didn’t see them born, but it doesn’t mean they weren’t.
Whatever the explanation is, no one got a dead woman pregnant. Megan wasn’t dead, obviously.
As for Steve Burton sticking around, yes I can see that. Rafe and Eli were both FBI when they came to Salem and then left the FBI to join the Salem PD. Why couldn’t the Harris character do something similar?
Well considering her name is Gabriella Hernandez, why would TPTB cast a non-Latina actress in the role. I’m sure they are a tad smarter than that and whoever they would re-cast would have the background. You’re assuming they wouldn’t.
We don’t know how old Dmitry is. We also don’t know who Dmitry’s father is. You are just assuming it’s Henri Von Leuschner. Also, even if Burton’s contract is up, he can still re-sign and stay on longer.
I can see them re-casting Gabi. They re-cast Sonny. Not only that, a re-cast would probably be cheaper. I’m hoping Talia and Colin are gone soon and that will free up some money for the show too.
I have no idea who is being held. I haven’t heard of any characters coming or going that we already haven’t seen or known about. They have managed to keep this on the down low.
I’ve heard there’s going to be a Gabi recast. Stefan is staying so perhaps they’ll have Gabi go off and visit family in Mexico or go to NZ to see Ari, Will, and Sonny. When she returns, she’ll be someone else.
