since it is summer now (already!) and that means it’s ‘teenage wasteland’ story line time… ;( If they brought him in…he’s a handsome devil
of an "older" gentleman – I just love that because a lot of us fans are ahem…how can I put this delicately? Ahhhhhhhh the heck with it…I’ll just say it boldly – a lot of us are grey hairs and as an older broad I get so flippin’ tired of the teenybopper stories…I want some more middle and upper middle aged folks on the show!!! There could be a lot of story lines with a free footloose older guy besides Victor, (whom I love dearly) in the mix, this could be a hot-Hot-HOT summer ladies!since 1965 off and on (dad was military), and continually since 1980. I can honestly say I’ve never felt an earthquake…here. Now watch…tomorrow the whole darn state will fall off into the ocean.
The earthquake I felt though – the Italian Alps were having a big one and living in southern Germany on fourth floor, I saw the mirrors, windows, doors, walls all shook for what seemed forever. 30 seconds of shaking doesn’t seem like it would be a long time, and it’s really not, but like you said Bonbon, you have a lot of time to ask the Big Man upstairs several times to please make it stop please! It is a totally weird feeling – that is indescribable unless you have felt it.
What is really funny to me is, although California has daily earthquakes, only a few are like the Loma Prieta (thank goodness). My friends and family who live in Texas and Florida, etc., will not come visit me here in California even though ever year there they go through wind and ice storms, hurricanes and tornados. Granted most times you have at least a four day warning about a hurricane and they are getting better with tornado warnings since I lived in the south many years ago. We, Californians pretty much poo-poo, and ho-hum the earthquakes, but we get the heebie-geebies and almost throw up at the mere mention of hurricanes or tornados.
Mrs. H passes on the show? Aren’t we gonna miss Soapnet when it goes off the air??? Every time here on the left coast when something happens – it’s always right when Day’s is on!!
You said what I’ve been thinking – I won’t give up the show (been addicted toooooooo long now to give it up) but there are days now where I don’t watch it – it just sits there on my DVR and blinks at me and sometimes I have to physically and mentally gear myself up to sit down and watch it because of the stupid story lines now.
I miss the days of Days that drea4713 was speaking of – those story lines were interesting…Stefano trying to get Marlena – John riding in to save her. Bad guys were bad guys back then. Not like EJ now one day he’s a sleeze bucket, the next day a kind, sweet person, next day he’s somewhere in between. Nicole is on a one track get Brady train, (now that she’s jumped off the EJ track) so that is boring. Sami is the same as she was when she was 15 years old…so I know what she’s going to say, how she is going to react to a given situation, rinse, wash and repeat (someone once said)…
Now the Hope/Bo split that was a bit interesting but the writer’s are just letting it dangle in the wind…there’s no ooooommph to that story line.
And we’ve all talked about Chloe/Carly/Daniel till we’re all blue in the face! They might as well put two cats in the scene with a mouse playing Daniel and let them go at it! Hiss/Spit/Hiss! I like Maggie, Victor, and Caroline interaction, and Stefano can zing some good ones too with Kate…Vivian coming back I had high hopes for – she was insane and funny before but now she’s just a shell of her former self.
I don’t think I will ever be truly happy with the show again unless they bring back John and Marlena – do you hear me Corday??? Bring back J&M!!!! (Rant)
Bonbon – you are right, so glad the JER days are gone – I have faith that the show will get better and you’ve been watching 20 years more than I have so I bow to your wisdom in your knowledge that it will get better…hopefully sooner than later.
Well this was going to be a one line comment and look, it’s become…my usual ‘gritch’ session about the show.
get married and then Daniel finds out and leaves Chole! That would be so worth watching for all the crappiola we’ve had to watch about her for months and months!
