I am beginning to loathe & despise male/female romance being played up on every 5 seconds on this soap, I want to see male/male romance. PRONTO.
This goes to the engagement ring that Johnny gave Chanel. Who gives a blue coffin for an engagement ring?
No offense, but I don’t think most people share your sentiment. Also, that’s the ring Chanel likes, so what do you care? And as for gay romance, the only gay characters we’ve had are either off in NZ or one half is in jail. Many fans are really happy about Johnny and Chanel. I’m one of them. They’ve had chemistry since they both took over the roles of these characters. Chanel never should have been with Allie. Allie was truly the most boring character until Wendy showed up.
I’m a Johnny and Chanel fan. The ring is gorgeous and what you’d expect from a young in love, romantic DiMera with many resources at his disposal.
So with any DiMera with many resources at their disposal, Johnny still should have given Chanel a ring that doesn’t look like a coffin, wouldn’t you think? No matter as to when it was, no one had a problem when Jackson & William fell for each other, especially with how it allowed questioning teens coming out to their parents & the accolade after accolade after accolade for it & accepting GLAAD awards for the portrayal, no matter if the both of them are in NZ or not, why not put it out there again for more questioning teens coming out to their parents by showing m/m romance that this show is known for?
Think about it, this show does have a history with one threesome, right? Then this show had one half of that threesome cheating on her girlfriend with one of the parties with who was in that three-way, so why would there be any problems in having m/m romance being shown, remember, this show gave Leo a romance with Dimitri, right? Then they also had a lawyer for the von Leuschner family playing up his husband & him seeing Jackie Cox perform, was also played up on this show wasn’t it, so why should there be any problem with showing it again?
Look at the size of the ring, It looked like a blue casket, that’s what I meant. With the DeMiras being DeMiras having many resources, Johnny decides to get an engagement ring that looks like a casket, given that he was once possessed by his grandmother’s Satan who had possessed her & then jumped from her & into her grandson & when they have been there done that, he ends shackled in his family’s mausoleum with Ben, & then now, he ends up getting an engagement ring that looks like a casket?
Henry: The one that was too young for Paul. Have him romance Tate when his one-month-stay-in-rehab ends. Back in the day they played up HortRiakis’ romance & wedding, that was history in the making big time. One had an emotional affair with a past fiancee, then they play up the romance between Sonny & Will, then they showed the first gay male wedding, then the first gay male affair, i.e. Paul & Will. Yes, AMC & ATWT had played up the first lesbian wedding & the first gay male kiss, but Days outshone both Sudsers. Do we really need to Ben & Ciara redux with Alex & Theresa & then have that end very quickly, then Eric & Sloan, Sarah & Xander. Then they had played up the take-over of DeMira to get shares to run that business, leaving the industry without a CEO & they have Stefan running drugs into the streets of Salem & then throwing Chanel & Johnny in our face. Do we really need to play up barfing the amount of the national debt by not giving us another gay storyline given the LeoTri romance ended?
Tate is straight. Why do you want a gay character romancing a straight character? Haven’t we already seen that with Leo and almost every straight good looking character on Days? If there is anything that would bring hate mail against the LGBTQ community, it would be having a gay character forcing himself on a character that’s straight. Give it a rest. If they bring gay characters on the show, fine. But let’s not push gay characters on straight characters. I never bought into Allie and Chanel. Chanel stated from the get-go that she was fluid. Allie never did and then all of a sudden decided she was bi-sexual. It didn’t work. Now Craig Wesley coming out, worked. Why? Because it was emotional. We cared for Craig Wesley and the pain he felt. Coming out was emotional, he talked about our generation being scared to be themselves. It was truthful and honest.
What I’m getting at is that Tate was never in a relationship with a man or woman, so you can say he’s straight until he’s in a relationship the way Will was & begins to recoil from a young girl’s advances, the way it was with Gabi & Will. So you tell me?

Tate had a bad crush on Holly. So it’s reasonable to assume he’s straight.
Will was attracted to Gabi back in the day, he may not have a bad crush on Gabi, but still Will did have relations with Gabi to produce Ari, so Tate’s bad crush on who has no nothing to do with it, given that they gave into each other, Tate might not have, but still Will did with Gabi, didn’t he? But still, he recoiled allowing her to think there was something wrong with her. So why not have Tate in a relationship with any female first, then see if he recoils the way that Will once did, before it being reasonable to assume anything based on what, don’t you think?
