In the August 7 2023 issue of Soap Opera Digest, I read that Maggie discovers something horrific, i.e, Victor’s cold body & that I think it plays out in Thursday’s episode or Friday’s episode, so I can’t see a plane crash kills Victor, if they go for that Jennifer Aniston would sue NBC’s asses off in a millisecond. Remember, Jennifer did put it out there that she wants her father’s character to die with dignity, didn’t she?

Jennifer Aniston has no footing to stand on, in how Victor’s death plays out. There’s no contract between her and Days. That said, I think Victor will just die suddenly, like when Mickey Horton died. Maggie will find him and we will see nothing. I’m not sure why you thought there would be a plane crash, either.

On soapspoilers.com spoiler for Aug 14 Justin gives update on plane. Also, on Celebrity Dirty Laundry there is a spoiler that Victor dies in a plane crazy.
The thinking is this lets him go with dignity and as the strong character he is.

Oops………That’s “plane crash” not “plane crazy”.

If on the soapspoilers.com for August 14 Justin gives an update on a plane. With how bad off Victor was when Sonny was defending his bro-mance with Leo, he’s fit enough to be on a plane that Justin gives an update on? Especially with what I had read was what was horrifying for Maggie to discover preceded the update on what Justin gives an update on, now wouldn’t it? Jennifer Aniston does have leg to stand on, on how the character dies, because both the character & the actor had shown how bad off both the character & the actor is. So you tell me, how the character’s health is sharp as a tack to be on a plane, when the viewers had seen how bad off the character was when Sonny was defending his bro-mance with Victor.

First of all, these are only spoilers that are online. We’ll just have to watch the show to see what happens.

Second, when Victor was still on the show they portrayed him mentally sharp and didn’t bring up his declining health.

Third, if Victor is on a plane, it’s the Titan jet, not some crowded commercial airline. The Titan jet can be outfitted to accommodate Victor if needed.

Even if they had portrayed him mentally sharp & didn’t play up his declining health, that doesn’t mean that it wasn’t shown, anyone who’s anyone who isn’t blind would have seen the character & the actor was at death’s door & Aniston refused to show that, showed that he refused to show where he was going, but the viewers saw that it was coming for both the character & the actor. So if the Viewers aren’t stupid & that they can see what was coming for the character & the actor, I can’t see Justin bringing up the status of Titan jet’s flight plan, when I had read that Maggie discovering a horrific scenario, that happens before Justin bringing up the Titan flight-plan, now does it?

Well, I can live with Victor dying in a plane crash. As long as we get a beautiful tribute to him, that’s all that matters to me. The only thing is we will have no Claire, no Ciera, no Hope, no Bo. That makes me sad.

I wonder if there’s a chance that he dies en route back to Salem on the Titan jet, & that explains as to why Justin takes it on himself to know about the family jet’s flight plan, right?

That could be. All Maggie said to Xander was that he couldn’t talk to Victor because he went to see Bo. So possibly it’s written that he went to see Bo and is on his way home. I’m wondering if the scene with Xander and Maggie, somehow sets up a scenario of Xander feeling guilty about his fractured relationship with Victor. Or does it make Maggie more bound and determined to tell Xander about Sarah’s pregnancy (which she discovers next week)? She may feel that Xander lost out on reconciling with Victor and he doesn’t deserve to not know he has a child.

I think you’re right about why Maggie will want Xander to know about his child.
I wonder who will tell Xander: Maggie or Sarah. I think Maggie will feel like it’s not her place to tell Xander, but if Sarah doesn’t do it in a reasonable amount of time she will tell Xander herself. Of course there is always loose lips Bonnie who may “accidentally” let it slip.

I read that the week of Aug 14 is when the events around Victor’s death will happen as well as a celebration of Suzanne Rogers playing Maggie for 50 years.

Wouldn’t you think that it’s odd timing that week of August 14 is when the events around Victor’s death comes out & also the 50th anniversary of Maggie Horton being in Salem, people would think that it’s very bad taste to have Victor’s death to push aside Maggie’s anniversary of being in Salem for that long, don’t you think? When they played out Will’s brain tumor in March, April, May of 2018, when they started the brain tumor story was 5 months after Peggy’s death, but they begin to play up Victor’s death 9 months after Aniston passes away?

It is kind of odd on the surface that Suzanne Rogers 50th Anniversary playing Maggie is the same week of Victors passing. I imagine Days will tastefully handle both events so they each get the attention they deserve.

And again when they played out Will’s brain tumor, March, April & May of 2018, that story played out months after Peggy’s passing, but they play out Victor’s passing 9 months after Aniston passes & have Maggie’s anniversary with Salem pushed aside, is very odd, don’t you thinK?

Except Will didn’t really have a brain tumor. Victor really has died and Maggie really has been on the show for 50 years. I think the show will have a tasteful tribute to Victor and a tasteful salute to 50 years of Maggie. I’m looking forward to it.
