This goes to the time capsule that was found by Thomas. When Julie had brought up that her grandfather always loved puzzles, to me, this reminds me as to when Laura Horton had brought up that Gwen’s mom came into play by showing up on the doorstep in 1991 & look as to when that was written, back in 2021, to be exact, I kind of doubt that Tom always loved puzzles, because as to when the writers wrote that for Seaforth to bring up, as Julie, so I kind of doubt that Alice & Tom knew the verbiage “TIME CAPSULE” back in 1966 because the writing team then were not the writing team that put it out there now, now were they? so doesn’t it raise the question as to how Alice & Tom knew the term ” TIME CAPSULE” before the writing team of the 21st century brought it up? Plus, with the fire, & everything was reduced to rubble, even though the chair came through unscathed, I kind of doubt that the key to the time capsule could have survived the fire, now would it?

They’ll get the Time Capsule opened somehow. Either with a key or some hidden mechanism on the box.

That doesn’t mean that it’s known that either one of them or the both of them knew of such things, remember, they were involved with other stories in 1966, were they not? So you tell me how they would have known those words with what they were dealing with at that time, don’t you think?

Tom Horton was a doctor—a well educated man. He and Alice seemed to know how to read. I’m guessing they could have read magazines or newspapers that would have used that term. Also, the only people at this point calling it a time capsule are those of us here today. I don’t recall any note saying this is a time capsule.

So if the only people calling it a time capsule are those of us here today, then how would Alice & Tom have read anything that could have told them of how it works back in 1966, I kind of doubt that anything back then would explain how it works given the only people calling it what now are those of us here today, right?

The box is from 1966. The show started Nov 1965. In the first episode Alice was lamenting about becoming “empty nesters” after Marie’s upcoming marriage. Perhaps the box contains mementos from when the Horton kids were young. (I doubt Empty Nesters was a term back then but it has meaning to us today so I used it to describe their situation.) It may reveal family secrets or a family member that we aren’t familiar with today. I wish they would move the story along.

@zodiacpisces1971, I seriously feel like you just want to argue for arguments sake. Who cares if we call it a time capsule, if Tom and Alice called it a time capsule, or if they just called it a a box of mementos? I’m with @doolfan on this. Let’s just move the story along. For some reason I think it might be connected to Everett Lynch/Bobby Stein. They keep involving him in Horton stories and it seems to me he may have a connection to the Horton family. Maybe he’s even a long lost grandson of Tommy Horton. Remember he lost his memory for a very long time. Maybe he had a child with someone and this is their child.

If it’s a box of mementos, then why not have it in with the Christmas Ornaments, in which was discovered untouched by the fire instead of inside the chimney? don’t you think. If this is about the Bobby Stein/Everett Lynch story, linking him to the Horton family, tells me that he is Nick Fallon, remember, Nick’s grandmother is Marie Horton, making Alice & Tom’s Nick’s great-grandparents, but what grabs my attention is this, the prints came back positive, indicating that he is Bobby Stein, could it be that Stefano paid Rolf to put Bobby Stein’s prints onto Nick Fallon to pay him back for what Nick had done to Chad some-time ago. So I think that when it came to Gabi, Kate & Sami & what they did to Nick, that it was so traumatic that it broke Nick into two alters, one being Everett Lynch & that persona was in in Seattle & the other persona with Jada.
