Looks like Molly Burnett will be coming back to Days as Melanie Jonas. The character of Phillip Kiriakis will also be returning. Stephanie Johnson will be coming over from Beyond Salem and Joey will make appearances every now and then.
Happy to hear all of those characters are returning! I really liked Molly Burnett years ago. Do you know if Jay Kenneth Johnson will play Phillip and who will play Joey and Stephanie? I noticed two different actors playing the Johnson siblings on Beyond Salem—-at least I didn’t recognize the actor playing Joey. I’m not as sure about Stephanie.
Don’t get me wrong, I would love to see Melanie coming back. But with how there was a need to get rid of Lastovic’s Joey, by sending him to a new business venture with Stephanie & why would there be a need for the Johnson Siblings to show up, especially with the finances of this show be in dire straits?
Then, with what Leo had done, do you really think that we need to see Leo finding Philip & get Phlly-boy to help him to get rid of Chloe & Brady & putting the suspicion onto Leo as to who had killed Abigail, given that there may be a story to prove that Lucas may not end up not being Abs’ killer, the way they did Clyde?
Last thing: That means that Will & Sonny go back to Phoenix, that Justin will never be seen again, Bonnie, for that matter, Maggie as well, & then Victor as well. Don’t you think that it’s very odd that they are so willing to throw Tinker, Massey, Kurth, Evans & Rogers away for actors who occasionally show up, that come & go, come & go, etc. etc, given that as what may happen to Dattilo’s Lucas, given the fall-out of the wedding?
Bluebonnet, it’s going to be the same people from Beyond Salem playing Joey and Stephanie. I have not heard who’s going to play Phillip, but it’s probably going to JKJ. For some reason I thought I heard when he left that “he” would be back. I assume he means the actor, not just the character.
But why the need for Tanner as Joey, wouldn’t you think that to make up for letting Lastovic go, that they have him playing Joey for BS-2. I kind of doubt that Stephanie would be on contract, because Kurth’s Justin is needed far more than Kayla’s daughter, meaning, Abs’ being his niece, the character as every right to learn of her death, don’t you thnk, if Tanner’s Joey is recurring, then down the line bring Lastovic or Stine into then, not right after BS-2 ends, don’t you think?
I can’t see JKJ’s Philip being on contract, given as to what GR’s Leo would do to him, if he ends up finding Philly-boy to destroy Chloe & Brady, wouldn’t that end up throwing JKJ away as well?
Then this: It wastes screen-time of the focal point, meaning, Abs’ killer, do we really need to see Philly’s temper tirade?
I can’t see that Stephanie would be a new love interest for Chad, because with how Chad is mourning his wife’s death, do you really think that he would be EJ, meaning, waiting a month after his wife’s brutal murder, that he would start humping Kayla’s daughter?
