ParticipantMy elderly mother was losing weight, energy and had bad stomach area pain. She had intitial blood and other tests which, along with her physical indicated a pancreatic mass. A CT scan then showed stomach enlargement and her GP who is ordinarly a laid back, noncommital doc said it looked like stomach cancer.
She then went to a GL specialist who immediately ordered an endoscopy.
My mom is an advent pray-er and her novenas always pay off. Yesterday she had the endoscopy and the doc said it was all clear! No one could believe it!
But I’m not surprised – never underestimate the power of prayer!September 21, 2010 at 12:59 pm #16444Patti
ParticipantI couldn’t possibly count all of the times I’ve been helped through divine intervention. I truly believe in the power of prayer, in God, and in the faith I have in both. I’m always reminded of a wise sort of anecdote I read once that said something like….’whenever someone looks toward heaven, weeping and questioning God’s wisdom and mercy and says something like, Lord, why did this happen to me; why didn’t You save me; why wouldn’t You help me; a voice could be heard inside that person’s mind stating: ‘Because you didn’t ask’.

Participantmy Mom. She says her rosary every day and seems to have direct connection to God when she has a special intention. Right now my sister is dealing with her fourth round of cancer, so we’re ramping up the prayers that have been ongoing since she was first diagnosed four years ago. I do believe that’s what has gotten her this far. So, as I pray for everyone on this board who is in need, it would be greatly appreciated if you would add my sister to your list. I do believe God will get us through whatever we encounter.

Participantmy knees every day – my life is so blessed by God. I’ve seen miracles in the power of healing not only the body but of the soul. God’s love for us is just indescribable, joy, wondrous, unceasing, and forever. I am so happy that your Mom is better and doing well Casey – all blessings to her in the future – thank God!
