What does everyone think of Vivian? One thing that immediately struck me is this actress doesn’t show the “class” of Louise Sorrel.

    NOPE…Louise will always be Vivian.

… but so far it isn’t working for me.

I don’t mean that to be mean, but it’s not how Vivian was interpreted in my mind.

Vivian carried herself differently. NuViv is cartoonish. It’s like they made her overly flamboyant. It’s just not working for me.

I personallly think it’s two things.

    1. the voice…Louise’s voice is so distinctive and so haughty it just can’t be replaced

    2. that hair…oh my God it looks like a really bad lacquered wig from the 1960’s…like from Hairspray

Glenda the good witch. There’s nothing about her that reminds me of Vivian. I hope she’s short term.

comes across to me more of a saloon owner.

she is short term. The character of Vivian isn’t supposed to be on too long.

Vivian and her son, Stefan, hadn’t seen each other in over a year.  They both had been portrayed by different actors at that time.  She said to him, "I’ve changed, haven’t I.  But you’ve changed, too."  Neat way for the writers to acknowledge the previous two actors and the current actors.

No idea why they needed to bring Vivian back if Louise wasn’t going to be in the role. Too iconic of a character to have a new actress (no matter who it is) take over.

I’m counting on her stint to be brief!

Every now and then the writers inject some decent humor into the script.
