ParticipantThinking a little further, I’m kind of disappointed they didn’t have Gabby go through with the abortion. I think the characters of Salem are all pretty one-sided when it comes to this topic. That’s why I was glad to see them address the issue when Mimi had her abortion. The only problem was how badly she was vilified for it. I guess that came about when Reilly decided to make everybody in Salem Catholic. There ARE people in the world who won’t condem someone for having one and I was hoping we’d see Gabby in this position with some support for her decision. To me (who is pro-choice if you haven’t guessed), sometimes that’s just the best option all around.
I realize that there will be a longer-lasting storyline this way but I’m really not ready for another pregnancy on the show. I hate the way they always have the women rubbing their belly all the time. That’s annoying. (Like Hope calling Jen "Cuz.")
So, how long do you think before it’ll come out that Will is the daddy?

ParticipantI was suprised Will let it out and that Nick- at least initially – did not blow up.
I’m on the other side of the fence on abortion as I feel the ends don’t justify the means and believe it is as much a civil rights issue as a religious one.
But opening that can of worms is not for this forum. I do believe, however, an abortion SL could be handled in a very sensitive way with gray areas instead of the ultra dramatic black and white ones we tend to see depicted on tv.November 28, 2012 at 9:29 pm #36640Bonbon
Participantgood description…grey areas. We don’t seem to ever get those.

ParticipantI’m with you Bonbon. I don’t want to start an abortion debate but the one sided nature of this on Days annoys me to no end.

Participantwith a 50′ pole. It’s a subject that I don’t think will (or CAN) ever be resolved. There just is no solution. I totally respect other’s views on it though. A person believes what they believe and no science, logic, or reasoning will change either side’s mind.

Participantthat now she kept the baby, we don’t have to go through yet another scenario of someone losing the baby.
I have had 3 miscarriages, and it’s very hard for me to keep watching these babies die over and over again
