Trying to push her precious sonnyboy to pursue a now married woman – and a neurotic one at that. Butt out Mommy – it’s none of your biz!

Everyone thinks Marlena gives such sage advic (and she usually does), but she is WAAAYY off base here! What is wrong with her? Eric is trying to handle this sticky situation in a very mature way, so please, Erik, don’t listen to your "out there" mother. Pursuing Sarah could open up a huge can of worms.

She lived a similar life?  Loved Roman – Love John as Roman – Roman came back so she tried to deny her feelings for John knowing that Roman wasn’t her end anymore.

She’s kinda comparing herself a bit to Sarah – pushing away the wrong man (Eric – and in Marlena’s case, John) to be w/the one she "should" be with (Rex – and in Marlena’s case, Roman.)   While I don’t agree w/breaking up a marriage it seems that Marlena wants her son to be happy AND not to see the fall out that is inevitably going to come from seeing yet another Salem woman pick the wrong dude.

Marlena’s own experience is driving this. But I see her rather insistent attitude as very Kate-like. Plus Marlena and John had a long and written in the stars relationship, whereas how long had Eric and Sarah even been a quasi couple? Not to mention Eric flew right back to Nicole when she returned without a second thought for Sarah. Plus Sarah is so mercurial and her impulsive marriage to Rex says a lot about her state of maturity.
Mostly I say that Eric is fully aware of Marlena’s stance; now she should just back off.

And today she told Eve all about how Eli had her phone in custody. Why oh why would you tell her this?
