I still like EJ – the character, because it would be a bland show without the "baddies" and his shinnanigans to spice up the stories, but I would never go or be with him knowing what he’s done. A memorable and interesting story always has the elements of good and evil, going all the way back to Cain and Able.
I’ve always loved a good bad guy. Love how it adds spice and flavor to a story and EJ is fantastic in that role!! He’s sexy and manipulative and it’s a beautiful thing.
I actually see a lot of potential in Rafe and a future storyline. I think he’s far from being put out to pasture. Granted, I don’t think Arianna or Gabby have a lot to offer, but Rafe has build a good history on the show and is well-liked. The storyline he was in with Grace dying was, in my opinion, one of the best on the show ever. Beautifully acted and you couldn’t take your eyes off those scenes. And, all that came before and after that were also really interesting and kept the viewer coming back for more. So, I think he’s going to be sticking around for a while, even if the rest of his family isn’t.
The little sis was an unused, unecessary bland character and Ari didn’t do much for me either. Of course so much has to do with the writing – or lack thereof – for so many Salemites.
Heck, even Rafe hasn’t been a ball of fire on this kidnapping thing. It’s dragged on – and I do mean dragged, for far too long with no exciting progression in the story.
When was the last time viewers felt on the edge of their seats, can’t wait for tomorrow’s episode??can’t remember the last time, and that’s not because I’m getting old, it’s the show’s repetiveness and lack of story or consistent stories…I almost can’t bring myself to watch anymore (and I was the most die-hard fan for years and years)…I like Rafe…he’s a nice, nice guy – we need nice guys on the show…but the writer’s have him in and out of a story that is going no where fast…they do that to a lot of characters, not the actor’s fault at all.
that sucks she was let go. She was on passions with guy who plays brady wasn’t she. Didn’t he play the rich guy she was always after.
Wow! that’s too bad!!! She’s an excellent actress….I could see letting the little sister go, and Chad and his friend….But I have a feeling Chad’s gona be a " Dimera"….sooooo.I’d like to see if they bring in new characters, they at least be people we are invested in….like Shane & Kim’s kids, or Say Neil Curtis’s daughter or something! There are so many of us that have watched this show for so long that "these" characters would be welcomed! Just like they did bringing back some former vets for Mrs. H’s funeral!
The stories never end and go on and on forever. The viewers end up losing interest and then ff through the show. As I said, I don’t care for the Arianna character, but I think that’s because Lindsey’s story has been completely boring. If she’s not whining over Brady and Nicole, then she’s crying or falling all over EJ. I just can’t stand it. I know the writers have to have drama, but it seems they only write for May and November sweeps and then they just draw everything out between those times. I also was a die-hard fan. I had to start watching day from the DVR, 30 minutes in so I could skip all the commercials and get on this board to comment. Now, I can go days before I find out what happened and I ff through enough that catching up is not a real problem. I know that EJ is going to be found out, Sami going to act like an idiot around him, Chloe and Daniel are still not getting married, etc. The list goes on. Boring, boring, boring.
