When they had a stand-in for RJ’s Lexi, did Renee supply the voice for the character of Lexi, meaning when Abe was shot by Jake’s associate from Philly & when she appeared to Abe in front of Paulina’s hospital bed?

It was not Renee’s voice. She has absolutely nothing to do with the acting world now. I am sure though, that they found someone who could use her same intonation and rhythmic pattern of speech.

But couldn’t they have persuaded Renee to dub her lines, so the viewers could hear her voice, given that Lexie & Renee are synonymous to each other the way that Over The Rainbow is synonymous to Judy Garland? Think about it, with Abe’s mindset the way it has been, he would remembered everything in a heartbeat if he had heard Renee’s voice instead of the voice of the stand-in, right?

No they couldn’t. That’s why she has chosen to steer clear of Days.

Then how did the character had gotten through to the character of Abe to remember his life, remember his family, remember his wife, remember Lexi, & bring up that he remembered the last time he had seen Lexi if all he heard & seen was the stand-in & hear the stand-in’s voice & not Jones’ ADR? Wouldn’t you think that would have worked if he had heard Renee’s voice & not the stand-in’s voice?

Abe and Lexi are characters on the soap. Abe the character isn’t going to say “oh that’s a stand in for Lexi”. To Abe, the actress who played Lexi with her own voice is Lexi. Keep the soap story separate from the real life story of who plays the part.

I’m not bringing reality into it at all. What I’m bringing up is that by hearing the Renee’s ADR coming from the stand-in who’s mouthing it, would make it believable to the Abe character, so he would hear the recorded voice & recognizing it belonging to the character that Renee brought to life. That’s what I’m getting at, by having the character to hear the original actress’ voice, so he would recognize it.
