Helen Keller would see that he would be the wrong actor to play the role, they could have gotten Robert Bazzocchi, or Drew Garrett to play Tate, right? Just like Robert Adamson’s Michael on General Hospital, they could have gotten Robert Bazzocchi & or Drew Garrett to play the role, DG had played the role once before didn’t he? The viewers of GH would wanted to see Adamson playing a re-casted Morgan, the same with Leo Howard, he also would be able to play a re-casted Morgan for GH, right? They put it out there that Leo Howard was about to be brought on once before to play Tate, did that happen, NO. So what makes you think that this time around, he would be playing the role, he would look like a mini-James Scott, don’t you think, especially with all of the backlash that Eo’B had gotten in playing Theresa Donovan, especially with how EO’B’s British accent has been noticeable along with her wig shows to the audience that it is a wig, right?
My personal opinion, he’s too old to play a 17 year old high school student. And I just saw a photo of him with his fiancée. She is the woman who has been subbing for Sloan the past few days. Sorry, but this is a little weird for me since Sloan’s character is Tate’s lawyer. Also, EO is 38. So I could maybe buy that she had a kid at 18–being that old Tate is 20. However, she’d have been 12 to have had a 26 year old right now. I know their characters are not their real life ages, but I don’t see how someone doesn’t see new Tate and think he’s too old to be Theresa’s son.
Then there’s this: If there is no blonde-wig for Leo Howard, no one would buy the character’s genetic makeup that he would have gotten from his parents, don’t you think? Why are they so willing to play up that the character got nothing from his parents, showing the perception that Tate Black is not the son of Brady & Theresa, right?
Theresa is not a natural blonde. When Jen Lilley was on, the OG Theresa, she was a brunette until returning a few years ago. Regardless, it’s obvious even this Theresa(EO) is not a natural blonde. Hair color doesn’t really bother me. If they’re going to keep EO as Theresa on the show long term, they should let her go back to being brunette and ditch that hideous wig.
I’m not familiar with the actor so I googled his picture. My first thought was he didn’t resemble Brady or Teresa. (Ignoring Teresa’s blonde hair). He also does look older than the 16 or 17 year old Tate. He just has a more mature look.
Perhaps Days went with an older looking Tate because after this drug ordeal they plan on hardening Tate’s personality and outlook.
